No, it is not nearly that bad. Today was very bad, indeed. However, it is still far from what you are claiming...
September 21st, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
I gotta say man, I applaud you for having this kind of attitude after the performance on the field, not only today but over the last 5-6 games or so. Heck, the performance of Michigan under Harbaugh in ANY road game they aren't favored!
I just don't see anything positive from this game moving forward. Everything is a mess and that doesn't just magically go away next week.
The season is over, the Harbaugh era SHOULD be over, and it's time to just accept that.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
Agreed. Michigan has been thoroughly outplayed, but this is probably a different game without Mason's fumble and the reversal of Bell's catch. That's very cold comfort, but it's something.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:23 PM ^
Are we still clinging to these excuses? Holy shit man. You're essentially saying this team has no backbone. Good teams overcome this shit. Harbaugh's teams here have NEVER overcome them whether it be from 2016 OSU to now.
Taylor rushed for 100+ yards on this defense in the FIRST QUARTER. This game would've had the same outcome no matter what.
And lets just keep passing to Ronnie Bell over Collins, DPJ and Black.
September 21st, 2019 at 4:00 PM ^
In his defense, this team in fact does not appear to have much in the backbone department.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:24 PM ^
Yes, we maybe get 3 points each possession and it’s 28-6 instead of 28-0 at half.
Does that make you feel that much better?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:28 PM ^
It makes me feel six points better.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:25 PM ^
Are you serious? What does Mason fumbling and Bell's non-catch have to do with Wisconsin rushing for 352 yards?
September 21st, 2019 at 4:58 PM ^
Hate to say it but I called them running all over us if we went with a 3-3-5 D. This is what we were lined up in most of the time, and not surprisingly we got gashed on the ground. How come I can see this coming from a mile away just from having played video game football, but the paid coaches don't?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
Are you serious? You think Michigan would've been competitive today if a FB/DT/HB hadn't fumbled and the Bell non-catch had been ruled a catch? Wow. So, in your world, no changes necessary, just keep practicing well, and eventually our luck will turn? Is that your position???
September 21st, 2019 at 3:36 PM ^
You're reading way too much into what I said. Michigan has a ton of problems. But those were big plays. This game probably has a different feel - though not a different winner - without them. As I said, cold comfort.
September 21st, 2019 at 7:50 PM ^
You didn't say a different feel, you said a different game. Your implication was quite clear, Michigan would have won but for those two errors.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:33 PM ^
If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, everyday would be Christmas!
September 21st, 2019 at 4:00 PM ^
It’s just remarkable that after a bye week in which it was all about not fumbling, a back fumbles on the opening drive.
September 21st, 2019 at 7:48 PM ^
It's kind of becoming a tradition.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:35 PM ^
You are smarter than this.
September 21st, 2019 at 6:33 PM ^
Michigan’s D was never going to stop that offense. Our offense was never going to consistently move the ball today.
Michigan only beat Wisconsin last year because Chryst overthought the gameplan.
Replay this game 10 times and it looks like this every time.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:17 PM ^
At least rich rods offense was inspiring in some sense that occasionally there was a big play or someone wide open.....
I have never seen this much pro level talent (supposedly) be so well covered. The play calling and scheme is not inspiring in any sense.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
A post like this is worse than a snowflake. You’re really not saying anything.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
OP is a moron.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
Your Mom likes me.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:18 PM ^
The offensive line play is horrendous. It reminds me of rich rod. When we hired Harbaugh the first thing I said was at least we will have a good offensive line. Still waiting in year 5. Fire Harbaugh.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
Well rich rid was actually trending up and trying to complete change a culture so not fair comparison. Hoke was trending down so Harbaugh isn't as bad. Basically we r a stagnant 8-10 win team that gets blown out 1-2 times a year with Harbaugh at this point
September 21st, 2019 at 3:19 PM ^
Harbaugh is just Brady Hoke with more fan support and institutional support... But Hoke beat Ohio State
September 21st, 2019 at 3:34 PM ^
so yeah but I mean hoke beat fickell
September 21st, 2019 at 4:16 PM ^
Look at how Fickell has Cincinnati playing..I think they would beat us right now
September 21st, 2019 at 4:56 PM ^
Terrible take. You gonna conveniently leave out that Hoke was gifted the worst OSU team of the last 20+ years?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
3 games into the season and the coaching staff, and now the players have given up. There will be some rah rahs and maybe playing good against lesser competition, but the season is over, the coaching staff is impotent, and you are going to see players transfer unless you see a new head coach and assistants brought in.

“Old Guard”?

Lloyd and the gang of mediocrity loving boosters
September 21st, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
It's a type of deodorant.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:20 PM ^
It'd be as bad as Rich Rod if we had won less than 10 games the last two years combined. This game just shows that contrary to off-season expectations this is more of an 8-4 than a 10-2 regular season Michigan.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:25 PM ^
You'd be lucky to see 8 wins this year.
PSU, ND, MSU, OSU are all losses. That's 7-5.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:27 PM ^
You forgot about Iowa. 6-6.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:41 PM ^
If they played like today, they'd be lucky to win 5 games. I'm just counting on the fact that Michigan will play much better in Ann Arbor and vs mediocre opposition because the past suggests that's what usually happens.
I'm not ruling out a total 'wheels are coming off' type season though. At this point it looks like Harbaugh's repeated attempts to 'fix' the offense have all backfired in increasingly spectacular fashion. For the first time under Harbaugh the notion of there being a regime change within the foreseeable future does not strike me as outrageous.

Gattis is a clown . Guy is another version of Nusmeier
September 21st, 2019 at 3:32 PM ^
Brown needs to go too. He can't seem to adapt and I'm tired of getting gashed by every good team we play.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:48 PM ^
Gattis fooled me going in to this season. He consistently refers to the players as kids so it's not shocking they play like children under his guidance.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:23 PM ^
Feels a lot like when Wisconsin ran the ball 30 straight times against Rich Rod in 2010.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
Kinda like what Wisconsin did to Harbaugh in the 1st quarter right?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:23 PM ^
I'm still trying to figure out what statement was supposed to have been made today
September 21st, 2019 at 3:27 PM ^
That Michigan is just plain not competitive on the road vs good teams?
September 21st, 2019 at 3:24 PM ^
Why did we remove Mattison from DC? He never had a bad season.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:26 PM ^
The rich rod years were pretty terrible once you got past game 5. Let’s not try to put a tuxedo on that pig 9 years later.
September 21st, 2019 at 4:54 PM ^
People are gonna try. The RR-Hoke years were a disaster outside of the non-conference slate. Everyone trying to say that was in any way comparable to multiple 10 win seasons and a lot of frustration with Harbaugh is overreacting.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:33 PM ^
Hate to tell you but until every old guy associated with Bo dies and a new young blood is allowed to speak this program will forever be what it is. You don't see Ohio State talking about Woody Hayes every single day because they moved on and they've actually won something
September 21st, 2019 at 3:37 PM ^
This is nowhere near RR level bad. There’s actually been some success during the Harbaugh era. Recruiting is at much higher level, there’s more pro talent, academics are significantly better, and there’s none of the “josh groban” off field embarrassments.
September 21st, 2019 at 3:38 PM ^
so many dumbasses making threads today... maybe we should push the threshold higher on Game Days
September 21st, 2019 at 3:39 PM ^
Fuck.
