WXYZ announces a new online show about Michigan recruiting, starring TomVH
Oh and there's one for State, but I'm not sure people care much about that, especially because TomVH isn't on that one.
Necessary quote:
Michigan fans will get Brad and ESPN's Tom VanHaaren every Tuesday discussing in the WXYZ studio the latest on U-M recruiting.

Recruiting plainly is a big business when local TV stations attempt to break into the game.

It's about time that these Detroit radio stations start realizing college football is you know, kind of a big deal around these parts, and deserves the same level of attention and analysis as the Lions.

The Lions are a one in a million team. That is, they win one in a million games...

It's TV, not radio. WXYZ channel 7, not to be confused with WXYT, 97.1 FM.
September 4th, 2013 at 11:41 AM ^
It's an online show at WXYZ.com

even remembers me any more...

They obviously didn't get the memo from Mike Valenti that recruiting doesn't matter at all.

If I had to pick a movie character that best resembles Tom VH and his recruiting prowess, it would be Frank Lucas.

TomVH is dead to me. He broke my heart.
(Of course, I still gobble up his info on Twitter, but he's still dead to me.)

Twitter: It's how the dead communicate.

Who's Tom VH more like, Andrew WK or Andrew CK?
September 4th, 2013 at 11:48 AM ^
No offense to Andrew CK, but I really hope he's more like this guy:

That's a lot of empty air time.
September 4th, 2013 at 11:50 AM ^
......yep still nobody else.......let's just hope Hoke or Urban don't offer that one four star we have......tune in next week........

"The 'Fourth and One' title will be a layout for what to expect each episode: four points about current high school players, coaches, and the recruiting trail and one extra point about a current freshman making an impact."
I was always a fan of WXYZ when it came to Detroit stations, so this gives me another reason to tune into them. Sounds like it will be very interesting from the proposed format.

I live in Houston and not up to date with apps such as IHeartRadio. Would I be able to hear this on that appt over my Iphone? Sorry I'm an older get off my lawn type :0)
September 4th, 2013 at 11:39 AM ^
Yawn. I will only watch if the co-host is Ace Williams.

"THIS JUST IN. I AM NOW MAKING UP A STORY ABOUT HOW MICHIGAN PLAYERS ARE ACTUALLY ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS. NOW I AM SAYING THAT THEY MAY BE ACTUAL ALIENS. NOW I AM SAYING THAT I AM GETTING MANY VIEWS FOR SPEWING BULLSHIT"
September 4th, 2013 at 11:43 AM ^
Does the Big Ten Ticket show still exist? That used to be the shit. Of course it couldn't be the same without the man himself...
September 4th, 2013 at 4:08 PM ^
Well, Don Shane isn't even around anymore....
September 4th, 2013 at 1:17 PM ^
Should be a blizzard of smile improvement and male enhancement ads to reach the target audience. Shoe lifts pitch's should also do well.

MSU is Wednesdays, so they started today with that; it's a little under 10 minutes. The show ends talking about current QBs and the Sparty says they should look at O'Connor as Maxwell won't win you a gam. And that's what MSU needs.

I may be blind, but I don't see a time listed in the announcement. Looks like around noon, but not quite sure.
Anyone know?

Nice, but I think they should rename the sparty show to "Lying in the weeds".
