3 Oklahoma vs. 6 Alabama
2 Michigan vs. 10 LSU
 
 
Double elimination, so it's a little more complicated with switches after losses, but here's the basic gist so far.

Glad we won the first one today because I couldn't stay for the second and it would have me sick to watch game 3 from my phone on the ride home. Great game! On to the WCWS. Go Blue!!!

After the homer I was going to go do work around the house, I decide I would wait until the first out and once the SS dropped the pop up, I knew good things would come! I am so pumped for the world series. Just hopefully they don't play when I work!

+1, although Basketball and Hockey would sell out everything with a 2,500 seat stadium too so this isn't quite fair, but we're into softball because they have by far the best winning attitude and record of any of our team sports. Incredibly fun to watch and if you're a true Michigan fan, you should support every sport that the Maize and Blue play. 

 

WD, do you think that they will expand the softball stadium soon? You'd think it would be super cheap and easy to add more of those basic, high-school type bleachers in the outfield. I think they could sell out another 1,000 seats for these big games.

WD, you don't need to defend UM softball. If some idiot doesn't get it, then his loss. 

Your poor comparison (of course all revenue sports would sell out if they were ranked #2 and hosting deep playoff games) almost diminishes your point!  A lot of people care about UM softball and have for decades.

There is a small but vocal minority around here that misinterpret the intent of MGoBlog as being football, basketball, hockey and that's more or less it - that's simply not the case at all. The body of Michigan athletics is celebrated here, and you'll find a lot of folks do in fact follow softball here. 

I guess my message is this - don't be that guy. That guy tends not to last long here.

calls this one of the greatest games in softball history...I agree not many better...A couple of World Series previous wins but not to many better than today!

Most of the game. I will tell u this much, Sierra's little sisters team is legit. They have won 26 or 27 in a row and they play inspired lol

That takes guts to battle back from down 3 in the final at bat after giving up the lead and a big home run. It would have been so easy to pack it in and go on to game three. They play like champions!
