|1 hour 16 min ago||Please excuse an old infidel like me||
but what in tarnation is "BTB?"
Surely (but please don't call me Shirley) it's not "Business To Business."
|2 weeks 5 days ago||"Captain Philips"||
***Najee*** was the name of one of the pirates in that film.
I doubt if that means much of anything.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||24-12 Meechigan||
My all-time favorite score
|3 weeks 4 days ago||This bowl season just keeps getting worse||
There I was, peacefully minding my own business & happily anticipating the first "real'/Top 15 matchup this month.Then I had to cringe inwardly as I was finishing the dishes in the kitchen & heard the dulcet tones of Mack Brown!!
He's not going to do the Orange Bowl, is he? PLEASE - someday tell me it ain't so.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||Hawkins||
That QB in Hawkin's video looks pretty good, too. Anyway know anything about him? What's his name, for instance.

Has there been a study similar to Brymer's regarding the question of refs often getting intimidated by the home crowd & thus not throwing flags against the hometeam?
I'd certainly be interested in the results of THAT investigation.

But yes - it IS great to be a Meechigan Wolverine
And yes - Jimmy & what he brings to the table are indeed exciting
and yes - you get an upvote!
Meyer and his band of crooks better watch out in next year's Game, and I'm sure they're having nightmares already about '18 & '19 and beyond.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||Even though we always found ways to lose the Rose Bowl||
I'd truly enjoy seeing those Pasadena mountains at sunset again. Starting to get un-hungover & looking forward to watching yet another major bowl game - what could be better? Either U$C or Washington or even Colorado would be fine opps, although tradition-wise I ofc would rather play the Trojans.
Hopefully the refs will be required to only award TDs if the ball actually gets into the end zone.

Now - who do we contact, and how do we do so?
|8 weeks 3 days ago||Am watching carefully selected previous Games||
I just saw the 1995 Game - too bad Timmy B wasn't that good
|13 weeks 1 day ago||Great day indeed||
The only way it could have been better would be if Notre F***ing Dame had lost.
|15 weeks 1 day ago||Woody||
According to Wikipedia, after The Game in 1968 Woody DID say "because I couldn't go for 3."
Howevah, the 2 pt try DID fail.
|16 weeks 6 days ago||24-12 Meechigan||
I don't always guess, but when I do I choose that score.

Notre Dame is known in my household (and even in my Mom & Dad's!!) as Notre F***ing Dame.
I remember Ufer going on & on about how sweet it will be to beat ND again - right in the middle of calling The Game.
I didn't notice Kelly having apoplexy/turning bright red in the face last night, though. Was I just not watching closely enough?

That's what champions do - turn a good break into a winning rally.
But I can't help but wonder: is the lack of singing Muppets for our super-duper women a Title lX violation?

go ahead and ask this here:
if we win out, do we get a "New Year's Six" bowl?

I wonder if JimBaughlaya is made with Stubbs?
|1 year 12 weeks ago||Hustler||
Ahem - that's hardly "my" maxim.
Ever hear of John Wooden? Bobby Knight? Dean Smith? Pat Summitt?Even Valvano, as much as he occasionally liked gimmick defenses, KNEW that rebounding is paramount (MGM too, probably.)
|1 year 12 weeks ago||Perplexing||
It is a true "head-scratcher" - why do we have such issues on the defensive boards? Certainly Beilein & his staff KNOW the old maxim: "defense wins games, but REBOUNDING wins championships." Also, he always stresses fundamentals. Blocking out can hardly be a mysterious concept.
|1 year 12 weeks ago||A bit scary||
I DO feel the need for a cold shower.
I also feel relieved that no one has yet opined that Jordan is a better shooter than Glen Rice. Nik got saddled with that burden, & to open up that topic again: it simply wasn't true! I mean, there is absolutely no doubt that Nik (and Jordan) are great shooters, but - c'mon!
|1 year 13 weeks ago||You see?||

as usual. Why are we still interested in that McCaffery kid, who's a QB?
|1 year 14 weeks ago||24-12 Meechigan||

(I always pick that score)
|1 year 47 weeks ago||OK, back to zero - I know||
OK, back to zero - I know I'll get "negged" for this:
We really weren't all that great pre-injuries to Levert & Walton. Too much attrition. Surprisingly, the loss that hurt perhaps the most was Horford transferring!
OFC, Stauskas would be welcome, as would Robinson and McGary.
An idle question: Beilien sends a whole lot of his players to the League - why doesn't he get recruits like Calipari does?

Is anyone really surprised by yet another story featuring the NCAA's monumental stupidity?
|1 year 47 weeks ago||The Terps are definitely a||
The Terps are definitely a good addition for basketball. All the FMs (@#%&* Mormons) would add is a usually ponderous team made up of slow but strong white former missionaries. And in football? Who wants to defend the old triple option all day?
