Huge congratulations to Sherrone Moore and his crew! We all knew they deserved it but it is always good to get some validation!!

Such a team effort too, from all the lineman, the tight ends, the running backs and the wide receivers. Everyone has been a willing and able blocker this year in both the running game and passing game. Awesome year.

IMHO, this should be the lead on MGoBlog.  What a year they had, and an incredibly bright future ahead.  Go bless the big fellas, and their coaches and analysts.

Congrats to the unit but especially to former walk-on,6th yr senior, captain, and my buddy Andrew Vastardis! ( yes he knows my name and we’ve been cordial for at least 4 years). Many on here thought that he would be an inadequate replacement for Ruiz, but I am so happy for him and his success. Truly a nice man. Go Blue.

Go Blue!  That’s huge.   I saw Mason Cole playing for the Vikings last night on MNF. (He got beat for a sack). Remember when he was our only non-cyan guy on the line?  We’ve come a long way baby.

Seems like Harbaugh knew what he was doing when he moved Sherrone Moore to OL. No coach is perfect, but it doesn't come as much of a surprise that he knew more than people angry on the internet.

well deserved for sure.

mea culpa - when Warriner left and Moore was tabbed as his replacement, I wasn't sure if this was a good thing considering he had never coached OL before (granted, he was an OL in college).

After hearing that he actually did a lot of coaching of the OL last year, I was a bit less skeptical, but still uncertain.

Obviously he, along with all the new hires, was a homerun. I am hoping that the entire staff will be around for a while as they have really done an impressive job this year

Agree 100%.  I kept it to myself but I had my doubts about this one… having some experience coaching o-line, I figured this to be a rough transition.

Also, I have to admit I didn’t expect the Macdonald  hire to pay immediate dividends because it seems difficult to transition a college team defensive scheme in one season.  I need to look into the data as to how often a d coordinator change leads to significant improvement in year 1 at the college level.

That is  my confession for now…

If we had fired Harbaugh, out the door would have been the coach of the year, assistant coach of the year, ol coach of the year, rb coach... just incredible the amazing year we are having.

I like this team!

The announcement undersells it.  Michigan was allowed 27 tackles for a loss.  The second fewest was 40.  Michigan is second in sacks allowed/(attempts + sacks) to Western Kentucky.  FYI Georgia is fourth, allowing one more sack with 9 fewer attempts.

Uber congratulations to Sherrone Moore!!

A great O Line handed to him by Ed Warinner was taken to the next level by him. Excellent work!!
