Who will be the new DC?

[Edit: I'm hijacking this thread because it's the most recent Harbaugh-related thread currently on the first page of the board.  I'm hoping this edited headline remains visible long enough to dissuade folks from posting yet another "Harbaugh is staying!" thread over the next several hours.

I now return you to your regular programming... ]

I made this the refreshments thread.  You’re welcome [edit] can I [edit] an [edit] post with an [edit] of a dumbfauk repossessed makeshift comment I made when sober whilst [edit] drinking Sierra Nevada - Atomic Torpedo…. But should have [edit] been drinking milk

BTW - my ex got the job in the NFL, she’s not coming back.   Fuck the world :)

Hopefully Foote.

Probably Clink or Elston. Or both. Jim has done some interesting things with coordinators. Remember all the years Drevno was “OC” but Jedd and Pep had way more influence on the gameday/play-calling role

I have thought about this more over the last couple of days and wonder how much it applies to Gattis/Hart.  It was interesting to me how many insiders were saying Hart would be in front of Gattis, and I wonder if that reflects him and Weiss having a large influence in shaping the team strategy

I don't know that's true at all. Fleck wasn't a coordinator and he himself says he's just a rah rah guy. Being a good coordinator does not mean somebody will be a good head coach. We've seen that again and again. I absolutely fine with the idea of the head coach who was not a coordinator as long as he understands how to be a head coach.

Won't be Foote if Jim is staying.  Foote is the proverbial favorite (or Clink/Elston is, who knows) to land the job which means he has no shot.  Jim always hires a guy way out in left field.  My guess anyway, since the last two weeks has literally been anyone's guess.

IDK what the Jags are doing but if they do go ahead and hire Leftwich, Foote is supposed to be the top candidate for the DC there, so there might be a bit of a waiting game there. I also don't think that, while Foote is a big Detroit and Michigan guy, he has an incentive to leave the NFL at the moment.
