Weird Kumar Rocker/Aubrey Soloman connection
This is just one of those weird things that happens in the world of college sports, but the board may appreciate it given the Aubrey Soloman recruitment saga despite how his career here actually played out. You may remember after the surprise commitment, decommitment, and "fuck Michigan", when he recommitted to Michigan and put the block M hat on, he actually said "Miami". Why? His mom explains:
“Aubrey was nervous on signing day,” Caldwell told DawgNation. “I told him to relax and think of something happy. When I saw the video of where he said “Miami” I asked what was going through his mind. He said to be honest he was thinking about (UGA defensive line coach Tracy) Rocker and (former Georgia coach Mark) Richt.”
Tracy Rocker is now the D Line coach at Tennesee, and is ALSO the father of tonight's Vanderbilt freshman starting pitcher, Kumar Rocker, who will try to keep Michigan from winning its first CWS since 1962.
What does it mean? Nothing. But it's too weird not to mention. Go Blue.
