It didn't happen. It is an all time low right now. 2007...and 3 coaches later, Michigan looks like a bunch of bafoons...

Michigan might not have accepted some of the transfer credits, transfers are different animals. I was referring to the incoming recruits, the whole ‘we can’t compete because we have to recruit to different standards’ isn’t true, unless they wouldn’t qualify anywhere they can get any recruit in school they need to. If they can get thru the clearinghouse they can get into Michigan if they want them. I was recruited by UM to play baseball and passed admissions, and I wasn’t the greatest student in high school.

This is the problem. Michigan is trying to have it both ways, but it can’t. Either you sacrifice academics and build on success for athletics or you keep doing what you’re doing now and be 2nd, if not 3rd, fiddle to everyone else in the conference. College football landscape has changed, but Michigan still thinks this is 1990’s. Time to roll with the changes if they want success on the football field.

Yes, you have to make a change. It is indeed the craziness of 2020 when Michigan is fielding its worse team in at least 3 decades and Jim Harbaugh will leave the program in at best the same level of dysfunction he inherited.
GONE is the rhetoric that Jimmy stabilized the program.

I think Matt Campbell is our best bet for someone realistic and I'd be pleased to see. Is it a home run hire? Of course not. But Rich Rod and Harbaugh basically were and they didn't work. Maybe he's not a great recruiter but he can hire great recruiters.

I'm not sold on Campbell. My daughter is at ISU right now, so I've been watching them a bit the last couple of seasons. I just don't know if his game management is much better than Harbaugh.

Michigan has to do a lot of soul searching and have a true come to Jesus about the caliber of program it thinks it is, and what it’s willing to try and become.
