FB & Slot- Notice these positions are in italics. I realize you can't have 12 players on the field at once. This is my way of recognizing that. (Personally, I believe Shotgun, 3 WR, 2 RB will be our primary set along with the Pro Set formation).

Let me guess, your brothers wife's brother heard from one of his good friends that Shane is flipping to Sparty, and Dymonte is going to Ohio? Why would this game make anyone decommit? Is it going to make you not be a fan anymore? Anyone that has met me knows I wore my Michigan gear just as proudly after The Horror as I did after the Sugar Bowl. Without knowing, I hope all our recruits love the school and team for what they mean to them, not for one game. Go BLUE!

We have to stay healthy and keep our confidence but we're only going to get better. Gardner looks like he can really play at WR and he'll learn a lot from his first game being Bama. It'll only get easier (except for maybe MSU's defense).

I've been VERY disappointed in our LB play. Bolden may have to step in, but again...one game against Bama, we'll see where we are after ND.

Praying Countess is okay.

It seems like the only people who are "melting down" are the people freaking out about the game.

I made this post for those who've either cut the game off, or were curious to see how Michigan would look down the road.

It's you negative nancy's that take it as "Oh wow, he's throwing away this season already!! The sky is falling!!!"

Now...as for the topic: QB battle should be fun. I think it'll be a Bellomy/Gardner battle with Bellomy winning, at least early.

Obviously Fitz and Lewan will have decisions to make...

WR is probably the most fluid because we have no idea how the freshman progress THIS year.

The interior offensive line is worrisome.

Does Thomas Gordon move to SS?

Edit: And for the record, the sky isn't falling. Sure this is a tough game, but it's a good measuring stick. Hopefully we can hang in the game and stay healthy. I said 11-3 at the beginning of the summer with losses to Bama, ND and Ohio, a win in the B1G Championship Game and The Rose Bowl. I don't see this changing anything.

Fitz out, Clark out, Countess misses pretty much the whole game (hoped we'd learned our lesson last year about starting DBs on coverage units), so hardly a reflection of the team at full strength.  Denard is shaky out of the gate throwing and Borges is leaning on him to open up the defense.  We give up one drive to a very talented offense (have to expect to score points to keep pace with good teams) then they hit the fluky TD when Avery slips.  Two picks after that and it's all over before it got started.

Denard's 1st carry came when the score was 21-0.  His second made the score 31-7.  I understand what Al was going for (and there were plays to be made) but I doubt that is the standard practice going forward.

It looked bad and Bama played very well but this game wasn't an accurate reflection of what this group can do, especially at full strength.

There's no possible reason you'd post this topic, after that game, unless you're mentally throwing in the towel on the season. I'm sorry we lost to the best team and program in college football, but we still have a lot of play for. Much like Oregon last year, after losing to LSU, dusted themselves off and ran for the Roses.

We played one of the best teams in the nation. The depth chart is probably right on target, with the exeption of QB, where Shane will likely take over. I don't think anyone is throwing the towel in on the season when it's clear that this Alabama team is far superior than anyone else we're scheduled to face this year. It's just a depiction of how we may look next year after seeing the team play tonight.

btw...Nobody in the B1G looks unbeatable and I think that sentiment has been voiced across this board.  We have a good football team for our conference. Michigan is still rebuilding and that was very apparent this evening. HOWEVA, we still have a very good shot of playing in the B1G championship game in December.
