Vanity Fair article about Leslie Wexner's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein
It's a long article, but it strongly suggests that there might be some Epstein-related dirt yet to come out on OSU mega booster Leslie Wexner. I have always been a bit surprised Wexner's inexplicably close relationship to Epstein didn't get much press attention when Epstein was arrested and subsequently murdered in federal custody. Wexner appears to be the closest person on the planet to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell over the past 30 years and yet he claims he knew nothing? Maxwell is scheduled to go on trial this fall, so stay tuned.
Who cares!!
Go Blue!!
I care!!
All the people who had knowledge of this disgusting, underage sex ring, whether they took part in it or not, should be brought to public light. I don't care of they are a politician, celebrity, or British royalty.
Between Epstein and the stuff going on in Hollywood like Harvey Weinstein, a lot of high profile individuals have either actively participated in or willingly turned a blind eye to sex crimes. And a lot of innocent people have been hurt. So bring them all out into the light publicly, and hopefully justice can be served in our court systems.
Hugely OT, but it would be fascinating/horrifying if we discover that some of the tattoos that OSU players got during the Tressel era were of Jeffrey Epstein
Wexner famously gave Epstein power of attorney over vast financial assets. Pretty clear Epstein was an intelligence asset of either the IS or Israel or both. Maxwell’s father certainly was an Israeli asset and died by “falling” off his yacht. The facts about all of this stuff will break your brain.
^^ this ^^
There is only one way someone got to Epstein in the most secure area of the federal holding facility in NYC ... it was an inside job. And by inside, I mean U.S. intelligence services. Cameras were disabled or pointing the wrong way. His cellmate was suddenly removed. The nearby guards conveniently left their posts. This was done by the U.S Government. And at the end of the day, that is what just might save Wexner, Maxwell and all the others. Zero chance the U.S. Government will allow anything to come out that undercuts the story that Epstein committed suicide. IMO Epstein was a U.S. intelligence asset and they had to get rid of him. FWIW this also explains how he barely received a slap on the wrist when he was prosecuted the first time around in Florida. That Florida plea deal needs to be looked at again very carefully because it smells.
Just like the Clinton’s went to Trump’s wedding, merc’ing Ep was a collaboration between 42 and 45.
"subsequently murdered in federal custody"
+1 sneaky LetterKenney reference
Ohio State football runs on money from human trafficking that Wexner and Epstein engaged in.
Basically every billionaire was an associate of Epstein, so they either A) knew what epstein was doing and didn't care to tell anyone, or B) actively engaged in pedophilia with him. Either way, they're all guilty and we are ruled over by a tiny ring of super-rich pedophiles and their enablers.
That last sentence is about right. Look at all the the Epstein dirt coming out about Bill Gates. But Epstein’s pj flight logs and island guests include Bill Clinton, Steven Hawking and Malcom Gladwell just to name a few. Epstein also very good friends with Trump.
Don't forget Ehud Barak and that piece of shit Alan Dershowitz.
Something tells me Hawking might be innocent of the pedophilia
Hawking had three kids, don’t be an ablist.
I mean, Epstein himself got away with untold rape, abuse, and debauchery before he was finally broght down. He was even convicted of something or other pretty heinous in 2008, but he got a slap on the wrist and it was swept under the rug (courtesy of then-AUSA Alex Acosta). It was lightly covered by the media at the time.
Money doesn't just buy you a get out of jail free card, it buys media silence.
His relationship with Epstein has been reported. Alot.
The whole world knows that the whole world is corrupt and the whole world accepts it.
The truth about Wexner and Epstein is, I suspect, somewhere in the middle as it usually is. Epstein was, if nothing else, very good at ingratiating himself with powerful people. And finding ways to stay ingratiated.
I hesitate to mention this as it is salacious gossip, but it's not irrelevant: one thing that the article doesn't mention (to its credit, as there's not adequate sourcing) is that one of the worst kept secrets in town are rumors about Wexner's alleged preference for handsome men. I'm a Columbus resident and have heard this whispered on the down-low for years. And while none of us should care how he gets his rocks off (within the bounds of consent, of course), you can certainly see why, if the rumors are true, that a guy of Wexner's generation and social position would not want those aspects of his life brought out. And you can also see how Epstein would be a guy who'd be very good at finding this stuff out.
The one thing that most billionaires crave more than power is privacy. Most people, myself included, have no clue just how much influence Les Wex wields in this town. Yes he has his names on several famous buildings, but I am certain that that still undersells by half how influential he truly is. And it's very possible that Wexner wasn't in on the worst of Epstein's crimes but any investigation would reveal certain business or personal details that would be mortifying. And I don't say that to defend Wexner - I have no reason to cape for the guy, and if it turns out he was knee deep in Epstein's crimes ring, that wouldn't surprise me either. And, gun to my head, I think he did know enough to be complicit.
But - I think the narrative of an evil cracking cabal of billionaires, while tempting to imagine and not totally untrue, is reductive. Wexner is a flawed human being like us but with way more money than us, and you don't have to be a plutophile to see how a guy like him may well have been groomed by Epstein to be an enabler and that there could be a broad spectrum for how willing he was in that regard.
One of the most rational, reality-based, and insightful comments I've read here in a long time.
Thank you, that means a lot, especially from someone whose commentary I find consistently thoughtful and interesting.
Epstein literally became a billionaire because of Wexner's money. Epstein was a complete nobody when Wexner gave him millions of dollars to manage and POWER OF ATTORNEY. This is not a normal thing to do. One of Epstein's victims has testified that she was sexually assaulted by Epstein on Wexner's Ohio property.
If any grooming happened, it was Wexner grooming Epstein, not the other way around.
Wexner's power: It is mind-boggling that it is the OSU Wexner Medical Center (other academic med centers are named but it is not "universal")...and that philanthropy is just an item on the list...
This is, apparently, the thread for conspiracy hacks to remove their tinfoil hats. Have at it, you bunch'a whack jobs.
Epstein was a serial pedophile enabled by those close to him. Did his 'friends' care? It doesn't appear so. I mean, how many of Robert Anderson's friends cared? How many of Larry Nasser's friends cared? How many of Jerry Sandusky's friends cared? Unfortunately, serial criminals are good at what they do and coast through life with most people thinking that they're 'normal'.
Tim Dillon had this information and worse on his podcast he did with one of the victims a year ago. The national media has even ignored most of it. Wonder why ?
Want to see anyone’s very WORST character traits come out? Give them virtually unlimited wealth. While the poor will act out of desperation and break laws like shoplifting, larceny, drug dealing etc they always feel the overhanging weight of authority and behave as such. They are conscious of what they are doing and know there could very well be a high price to pay for their actions. Their exposure to consequences moderates their behavior. Guys like Epstein & Trump have no such exposure. They get so far down a lying, cheating, perversei path because nothing ever resembling consequence even brushed up against them. Ive had this discussion with my wife when one of us on a whim buys a 300 million dollar ticket and how it would very well be the scariest thing that could happen to us. It’s not even the demons I have that scare me. I know them well. It’s the new ones that the wealth would uncover that scare the crap out of me.
