USC CB May Not Be Telling The Truth About Drowning

Submitted by michchi85 on

Coach Sarkisian has received a few contradicting stories about the events of the drowning.  Looks like this story may not be over, and it's not looking good for Josh Shaw.

Sarkisian says he has received contradicting stories on Shaw and what happened. He said team is investigating.

... I thought that was a pretty weird story.  Curious to see if anything actually comes from this.  One thing I'm certain of is that USC will not uncover anything.  It will have to be the media (or police, if this is at all nefarious).

You're telling me he was on a deck that was two stories high and jumping off of it made the most sense? If you have a deck two stories high and pool below I bet you have stairs. This story was fishy from the beginning.

You don't get high ankle sprains from that kind of fall. Calcaneal fractures are usually the injury you see when someone falls from a height and lands on his feet (assuming that is what his story is and the only one that makes sense based on the injury he has reported). If one of his ankles buckled on the landing, I think an ankle fracture or low ankle sprain would have been more likely, but it probably wouldn't have been in both legs.

I also thought this story seemed suspicious from the begininng.

No in critical situations it's best to act on impulse. Or at least that's what I was told prior to boarding a flight to Bolivia last night. Luckily I was able to take a red eye home this morning.

I think this needs to turn into an MGoBlog member confessional/catharsis thread.

I'll start - I no longer live in Ypsilanti. I live in Northville. Feels so good to get that off my chest. I just felt like a fraud.

You?

He posted a photo of an USC cheerleader jumping into a pool on the drowning thread. I think that's what did it, unless something else got caved. I didn't see anything on the Moderator sticky about it. He initially got sent to Bolivian but then was reset to 0 points. 205 points in one day shows how much he posts here. He'll be back up in the 5 figures in no time.

One mod thought Bolivia for a month, another mod asked the first to go back to zero instead and then messed up when they went to the altering points machine. Bando is getting his original number back this evening but might end up at 100k+ at the end of the month or something else weird might happen when they reset, just trying to figure out the best way to fix it.

Update: I think points should work out without an issue or with one that should only be weird for a few hours on 9/25. If there's a problem going forward I'll take care of it.
