"I never told him to stay out of your bed."

"You most certainly did!"

"I never told him to stay out of your bed."

"Yes you did!"

"I told him that a player on a streak has to respect that streak. You know why? Because they don't...they don't happen very often.

If you believe that you're playing well because you're getting laid, or because you're NOT getting laid, or because you're wearing women's underwear, then YOU ARE. And you should know that!"

This right here would be my answer to this as well.  Let the players decide whatever they want to wear. Also, if you don’t think these kids care about what they where then you are living outside reality. My son is 12 and there is not a game that goes by where he doesn’t comment on a uniform. I am not for all kinds of change, but it seems kids these days are really attracted to uniforms and apparel.

I'm a big fan of the original blue jersey, maize pants. But if the players are choosing and like wearing blue all the time, I'm not going to complain much as long as they keep winning.

Personally I liked the days when you had one home uniform, one road uniform, and that's it. It's not even like with soccer teams where you have like 4 jerseys so you can sell extra jerseys to fans. This is just re-arranging the same crap for no particular reason.

I don't even buy that the players care. I bet it's like 2 or 3 guys out of 50 who actually give a damn.

yes, all the time. and any decent manager worth more than $7.50 an hour will shut those loudmouths up and allow everyone to have an equal voice.

those who don't care can vote that way, but lots of people do care but don't speak up because of the overbearing loudmouths

anyhoo, back to the point .... yes, the players care. and they have a voice in what they wear on gameday

Yeah, Mike Sainristil and a group of players started a players’ leadership council in the offseason leading up to the 2021 season to allow players to have more input and direct conversations with the coaching staff as well as keep the rest of the team accountable. That led to the leadership council deciding the uniforms for each game with some input from the coaching staff.

I don't disagree; in terms of my own personal preferences, I like the consistency of one, permanent, and then eventually classic and world-wide familiar outfit. But I have to admit that that is a personal preference, and it comes primarily from me coming of age in a time where budgets were connected to a rational world (see also: locker rooms, training facilities). Such budgets are now astronomical, and there is no financial reason not to have multiple variations -- and no reason not to let players choose, their preference being infinitely more relevant and significant than mine.

That being said, they are also kids, who need some guidance from time to time, and if they ever request those terrible striped thingees that we had in 2011 -- the "legacy" uniforms -- or a wolverine mascot on the helmet, those suggestions should be rejected firmly and immediately.

We're wearing our school colors, and the design of the jersey is the same.  We're just playing around with the precise color pattern.  It's essentially the same as what we do in basketball and hockey.

I was kinda hoping they'd break out white socks at home - either with maize pants or with the all blues - rather than double down on the all blues and take away from the "big game blues" MGoMoniker.

But it's cool, Michigan is officially in the uniformzzz era and it's less annoying than when Dave Brandon did it, mostly because it feels player led and they're winning.
