As you may have heard, Michigan opted out of the long sleeve camo uniformz for March. However, it appears adidas had planned on having Michigan wear them and even made them available for sale to the public.

I was thinking this too (jersey only, shorts are awful). In fact, I think this design is solid for a variety of sports with a few modifications here in there. Adidas may have hit a homerun on accident here!

At first glance, I thought the shorts were just very wrinkly. Then I looked closer and remembered the camo-theme from a previous uniformz thread and ran to the bathroom to violently wretch. Bullet dodged. Thank goodness.

If you remove the sleeves and make the pants non-camo these would actually look pretty awesome.

keep what we have as in what uniforms that change just about every game or the uniforms that change 3-4 times a season... I'm confused. because if you do what he said you'ld have a regular Michigan maize uniform
at least be honest. The current uniforms are template garbage. Our shorts looks to be created using some old mircosoft art program and the jerseys are way to busy. They don't have sleeves and that is good, but they are a big downgrade from the uniforms of the last three or so years. Michigan will have new uniforms next year.
think the shorts concept was all that bad, but wearing the jerseys with sleeves is just a big no. We would probably look more like a mens volleyball team more than anything with the jerseys.

Maybe everyone else has a fetish for athletes' sweaty armpit hair, but I actually like the sleeves. It's not a traditional basketball look, but I like it on Golden State, and I don't think I would mind it on Michigan.
The zubaz look on the pants and sleeves is terrible though. Whoever at adidas who keeps pushing it needs some style advice.
I like Golden State's too. The strange thing is they also have a pattern on the shorts, but it's a more sublte pinstripe. Adidas needs a big helping of KISS.

Adidas would do well to get a few young employees in their 20s on the design teams for all their stuff. These things would have been cool on an elementary school playground in 1990. I suspect that was the last time the people designing these uniformz were dressing their kids and they still think it's cool. If the design team is younger than that then they just picked the wrong team. Big time.

Why were we wearing last years uni against Purdue and why are these camo's last years shorts as well. I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.
This year's crop of blue jerseys ripped against Minnesota and they haven't ordered/received another batch of blue ones, so they went with the old version. It's curious that out of all adidas schools, it seems our blues were the only ones to suffer a ripping epidemic.

The unappealing look aside, you would be paying $89.99 for the jersey and $64.99 for the shorts (I braved a search and checked). The uniforms depicted in the OP are bad enough (as they are in the photo anyway), but bad at those prices is simply a cruel move on the part of Adidas.
My other question - is it really camo or is this a marketing spin for problems with the dye lot? As these sit now, I am thankful we turned them down.

BUT... here's the thing. If you're 16 or 17, and you live in a very urban area (and I don't think it matters what your skin color is), what's your reaction to them?
Because as Pimp Hand said a year or two ago.. in some ways, the customer is the recruit. It sounds hilarious, but that's the guy you most want to please. If he's pleased, he comes, we wins, and fans are pleased albeit puking cuz of the unis. Would you rather win a NC in those hideous garbs, or wear a good uniform while losing in the first round of the NIT?

That's what's working at Indiana. It's what works, in a somewhat different way, at Kentucky. And Duke and Carolina and Kansas and....
No significant recruit has ever gone to one of those schools for the chance to wear a one-off camo jersey.
Whoever is coming up with these designs must hate athletes and wishes to denigrate them by making them play wearing pajamas. At this rate, the sneaks will look like those bunny slippers Ralphie was forced to wear in "A Christmas Story."
