It's a real damn shame all those people watches OSU get pantsed like that, live.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
Yeah, that must have been scarring for them.
November 28th, 2022 at 12:28 AM ^
and you guys THIS TIME it's totally gonna Xotivate us we mean it i mean we xean it
November 27th, 2022 at 6:18 PM ^
I watched it.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:23 PM ^
I am on my 4th viewing of the full game now. Will start up the 5th one in a couple hours!!!!
November 27th, 2022 at 7:49 PM ^
I will also watch it many times. Watching it Saturday I was on edge the whole time. Watching a reply is 100 percent enjoyable. Of course nothing compares to the first time but I enjoy watching it without all the stress
November 27th, 2022 at 8:05 PM ^
Is it wrong to watch it with a box of Kleenex on the side?
November 27th, 2022 at 8:10 PM ^
That depends on what you’re planning on wiping with said Kleenex.
November 27th, 2022 at 8:41 PM ^
Why not both
November 27th, 2022 at 6:21 PM ^
Not much of surprise considering the fan bases, the undefeated records, the rivalry and what was at stake. Also what else was on at noon other than the demise of Clemson. I would have watched it too if I hadn't been there to see it for myself. I watched the fourth quarter Saturday night at the hotel.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:39 PM ^
You were at The Game IN the horsehow, we were winning and YOU LEFT?!?!?!
November 27th, 2022 at 6:42 PM ^
I read that as they rewatched the 4th Q after the game back at their hotel
November 27th, 2022 at 7:07 PM ^
Likewise, as that is the only rational course of action.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:11 PM ^
No way in hell I would leave
November 27th, 2022 at 7:48 PM ^
I hear plenty of guests in red did leave early…
November 27th, 2022 at 8:28 PM ^
The same thing happened in the Big House last year… that is…plenty of folks in red left before the game ended.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:21 PM ^
And they were treated to a great one. Thanks for watching!!
November 27th, 2022 at 6:26 PM ^
November 28th, 2022 at 4:55 AM ^
And that 2011 game was probably a Michigan - Ohio State game.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:27 PM ^
Well those 17 million saw Good prevail and Evil go down, Go Blue
November 27th, 2022 at 6:39 PM ^
And the recruits also

I hope they watched all 4 quarters.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:53 PM ^
You were the soothsayer.
I was as worried as anyone but I told friends that had some hope--I kept quiet that a part of that was some mercury-addled haberdasher on the web.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:30 PM ^
Epic game in oh so many ways.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:31 PM ^
The greatest rivalry in sports is The Game.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:33 PM ^
I'm sad all those OSU fans had to see that. Kinda.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:33 PM ^
Ever?
E V E R!
November 27th, 2022 at 6:36 PM ^
Still doesn’t seem to compare to nfl. Cowboys-giants had 42 million viewers on turkey day.
https://frontofficesports.com/nfl-most-watched-regular-season-game/
November 27th, 2022 at 6:46 PM ^
so what/how is that relevant to this thread?
November 27th, 2022 at 6:53 PM ^
Well, that's a bit of an apples-to-oranges comparison: Thanksgiving day has people with a football game -- any football game -- on the TV, and there's not much else competing for the viewers. The last Saturday of the college season is devoted to various rivalry games, so the audience was split. Drawing 17M eyes under those conditions is quite the feat.
Also, for comparison, the finale episode of M*A*S*H drew something like 81 million viewers.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:43 PM ^
Also, some World Cup games were on this year, pulling some viewers off American football
November 27th, 2022 at 8:13 PM ^
The Lions and Bills was over 30m
November 27th, 2022 at 7:26 PM ^
You put this game on Thanksgiving day with nothing else to watch and with all the family together, this game will eclipse that 42 million. When UM/OSU played, there were many other games played and it is rivalry week across the country. Not a good comparison.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:36 PM ^
If there is ever a vote for Fun Governor, I promise my vote to you.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:53 PM ^
NFL had one game on where college football has many playing. I believe more people watch football on Saturday than they do on Sunday. Of course there’s 50 or so games being played in college compared to just a few available to watch on Sunday.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:57 PM ^
Only 42 million? Not that impressive since the world has 8 billion people
November 27th, 2022 at 9:02 PM ^
I’d watch Iowa at Rutgers before any NFL game, yeah any, I said it!
November 27th, 2022 at 6:36 PM ^
Most watched regular season game in 11 years? Wow. They all get to watch "world famous Buckeyes" get their ass kicked. And the sideline demeanor of Ryan Day and Buckeyes was glorious for all to see. The defeatist attitude. Especially that 7 minute drive with JJ 3-yard run. Couldn't have happened to a better program.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:43 PM ^
I don't think I heard Gus call them "world famous" even once yesterday. Maybe he has heard the complaints and listened.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:51 PM ^
In their open he did. I didn’t mind it as Gus is a man given to extreme hyperbole - in all directions. I have grown to really like his calls this year, and Klatt is always on point, even when you don’t like hearing what he says.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:54 PM ^
He did. I turned down the volume in the first half. It’s stressful enough just watching
November 27th, 2022 at 6:36 PM ^
I was one of those watchers. Pretty good game. I'd watch that Michigan team play again.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
Off topic about the theathletic.com article he linked.
The media is a fickle thing. If by some chance two neutron stars and a black hole merged and opened a rip in the space time continuum where a Ohio State football team from a parallel universe showed up to play and won Saturday. Everyone and their brother would be dogging on Harbaugh about how his old timey football was the reason for the loss.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:43 PM ^
The media is a Fickell thing? Does that mean we are now going to get Wisconsin rammed down our throats?
November 27th, 2022 at 7:12 PM ^
The win is unfathomably important to the program for this and many other reasons.
Agree it is common to talk about what is wrong in a loss and how awesome everything is in a win.
Since we won, and it was an away game, it will really excite recruits and really reduce NFL talk and other Harbaugh detractions. Finebaum, Cowherd, many others who have had questionable thoughts in the past will continue to change their tune and see Harbaugh in a better light. The PR angle is huge.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:39 PM ^
And Fox milked the f*** out of that game with the lengthy commercial breaks during the broadcast.
November 27th, 2022 at 6:48 PM ^
They were 3 minutes long, so 6 commercials per break. I skipped ahead on my recording.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:01 PM ^
We took the opportunity to rewatch the touchdown plays over and over.
November 27th, 2022 at 7:41 PM ^
I didn’t record the game - we’ve lost to many times over the years when I do.
So, BTN in 60 is what I’ll be watching over and over. No commercials and limited announcer BS.
