You totally took that the wrong way.

Wasn't 2014 all shiny ducks and roses?
Problem is, it's the Exxon Valdez variety of shiny duck:
Note that this shiny duck is getting a bath before it's returned to the wild. Boo oil spills, and yeah ducks!
(Kidding aside, I think this board is way too hard on 2014 - early returns are an Elite 8 appearance, a great softball team, great success in gymnastics, swimming, etc. And we've got a shiny new OC who I suspect will cause some smiles around here before The Game. Oh, and Jabrill Peppers eventually occupying huge areas of the backfield, making life much tougher on opposing QBs.)
Agreed! Years always start of well since that is Beilein's turn. We've had Final 4s, Elite 8s, Big 10 championships, a few years ago we were hauling in recruits every 3 hrs in a February, among the other sports you mentioned. Things just start to get dicey around early/mid April - and then tend to swoon through November lately ...
First quarter 2014 was excellent. Now we clench....

Nope - clenching is what I meant... I will unclench about Thanksgiving when bball is back hot and heavy.
it's paywalled.
Did it lay out any visit plans for him to Michigan or OSU? And I think he wanted to make his (another) decision over the summer?
A short article quoting the 24/7 piece:

Exactly. This kid seems to be leaning in whichever direction the wind blows.
until I realized you're probably right.
MSU?
...wait, what about PSU?

This is good though, fun, I'll just wait until he makes a decision before I cheer. Is there a date?
If you look at his interests on 247Sports, we're decided in the lead ("Warmer", as they put it), ahead of Georgia, Michigan State, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Tennessee. It lists Auburn and North Carolina as "cool" as well, and then there is the long list of schools that at least offered (that list includes Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska and Northwestern among schools in the Big Ten anyway).

cared enough to share your apathy. Speaking for myself, I thank you for your thoughtfulness.

... recruiting "burnout."
But I'm not sure why 2012 soured you to the process. While we're still waiting for these players to develop, that was one of Michigan's best classes ever (#4 Scout; #7 Rivals), and we've retained all but one of those guys (i.e., Kaleb Ringer, who ended up being hurt). [And we grabbed Norfleet on signing day... insert "Yay" from Brian.]
Maybe '2012' was a typo.
on signing day, when the ink is dry.
TE university
likes. He's attending their camp this summer according to Maize n Brew.
We may need o get him back for another viit after that.
If Michigan is the place he wants to go, I wouldn't be excited until pen meets paper on NSD. Also, I feel like Notre Dame can make a definite push here. Especially with the comments he gave Wiltfong, you can see why Notre Dame would be an attractive destination for Clark. "I'm actually going to the invite-only Irish camp on June 26th," Clark said. "Notre Dame is definitely TE U. The last seven players at the position they've had at tight end have gone on to the NFL. They even run three tight end sets. That stuff is a plus for me but there are other things I'm looking at with them too. My mom is crazy about Notre Dame." Things will start to become more clear once the summer rolls around. Also, Clark confirmed on Sunday that he had been invited to Nike's The Opening.

Regardless of everything said there, ND is a long shot. His academics are of question.

Better not offer him a scholli. I think he will, just to prevent us from improving. He knows our weakness are OL and TE.
that dude damn sure looks like a TE
