A frustrating game yesterday: GF good, GA not so much. But Holtzy's 1st career goal was an OTGWG! Tonight we need to get started on time, bring the energy all the periods, and finish them, in regulation would be nice.

Damn. This is really getting old and is the signature of a team that ain't gonna get far in the tournament. We really struggle to maintain great momentum -- feels like guys just start taking shifts off and getting way too fancy.

So as a former ref (in a different sport) one thing you are taught is that there are cycles to fouls/penalties. Often times you'll see one team commit a mistake, then the other team commits same mistake. And you have got to make both calls to maintain consistency. We see right there zeebs call TMM on us, then pass on calling same right after that against Badgers. Just looks really bad.
You want to call bias here; reality is that B10 officiating is a real shyte show.

Gotta love blind backhands up the center of the ice in your defensive zone. This team is infuriating.
Sometimes it feels oddly like theres too much talent on the team lately. Lots of guys think they can make just skate circles around the rest of college hockey and it results in some terrible turnovers sometimes
There's a solution to this. Do something stupid, miss the rest of the period. Not "something creative that doesn't work." But, objectively stupid or lazy. Does not take long for that lesson to stick. At any level of hockey.
Yeah, should have been done in November. Can't really do that with Hughes in a playoff game.
