The truth behind Six Zero's "The Speed of Shoelace"

Photoshop Magicks!!

So, yeah, it's time to come clean-- I felt a little bad after everyone started applauding my watercolor skills.  In truth, it's all Photoshop.  This piece was created in about fifteen minutes during a Pattern Stamp tutorial;  in truth I hated Watercolor class back in school and haven't done one since.

Thought y'all might enjoy it, and if nothing else it displays the power of Photoshop perhaps in ways some of you didn't know was possible.  Granted, Shredder, yes-- I know it's not as awesome as MS Paint, but that's another story...

Also, a quick apology to Brian if I actually misled him into believing that I was sending him a painting...

I dig the watercolor and would love to add one to my basement wall.  But I think the watercolor morphing into the real photo is even cooler.

(I'm a simple man, easily awed by shiney nickels.)

If you could make a t-shirt that switched like that, that would be glorious.  I'd buy that.

EDIT: If it's honesty hour, I must confess, Six Zero, i almost stole your Mich Samba sneaker design.  (And by almost, I mean, I still think I'm going to do it.  It was pretty sweet.)

now thats quite an interesting reflection of michigans program as a whole: looks nice at first, but when you get down to finding out the details about it -- its not all that great after all!

newspaper in which all sports photos are printed as watercolors like this.  Why?  Mainly because I often end up with sports photos that caught a good moment but are imperfect enough to make me put them aside, and this would let me use those shots.
