The University of Tampa program will get shut down for this…again.
January 19th, 2024 at 5:31 PM ^
I thought you were calling them University of Tamper….
January 19th, 2024 at 6:48 PM ^
Tampere University in Finland. Permanently banned from NCAA football.
January 19th, 2024 at 6:15 PM ^
So are people from Tampa "Tampans"?
January 19th, 2024 at 7:31 PM ^
Tampoons I believe!
January 19th, 2024 at 8:32 PM ^
Tampeños!
January 19th, 2024 at 5:19 PM ^
Napier didn't know what's going on???
January 19th, 2024 at 5:20 PM ^
Did he know but not fully know?
January 19th, 2024 at 5:22 PM ^
If he was in the Big Ten this may be the eprsonal death penalty. Luckily the NCAA prolly don't give a crap
January 19th, 2024 at 5:38 PM ^
Vast network!
January 19th, 2024 at 5:20 PM ^
Guarantee that their AD ain't gonna fold like a cheap chair.
This will be brushed under the rug in no time.
January 19th, 2024 at 5:21 PM ^
Should read "Trouble in the"
"Trouble with the" brings back too many bad memories around here.
January 19th, 2024 at 5:45 PM ^
And he scooOoOores on the last play of the game!!
puke puke puke fart puke
January 19th, 2024 at 5:29 PM ^
NCAA and their selective enforcement hard at work I see. Schools openly buying recruits with Lambo's but Ferris State players smoked a cigar, gasp!
January 19th, 2024 at 7:12 PM ^
Did anyone check on the country of origin of the cigar? Was it imported legally? Is anyone absolutely positive it wasn't contraband in some form?
January 19th, 2024 at 7:35 PM ^
Did the cigar get smoked during a recruiting dead period? Was the cigar tampered with? Was the cigar paid for by NIL money?
January 19th, 2024 at 7:43 PM ^
Paid for by an Illinois booster in 1991. I was on old cigar but it aged well.
January 19th, 2024 at 5:29 PM ^
I've been hearing promises to drain the swamp since 2016, I'm sure the NCAA is the organization that finally gets the job done. :P
January 19th, 2024 at 5:31 PM ^
It seems like the NCAA only investigates when a university tells on a university. In this case, both of these maybe Florida and they might just want a cheap exit from the Napier experiment.
January 19th, 2024 at 6:04 PM ^
Clever.
January 19th, 2024 at 5:42 PM ^
Gotta hurt when you are under investigation for NIL or recruiting violations, AND your team sucks.
Sucking seems easy to accomplish without pissing off the NCAA idiots. Guess not for the Gators so much.
At the same time - we got our own crap to deal with, so there's that. Putting down the rock in my glass house library...
January 19th, 2024 at 5:56 PM ^
Double cheeseburgers?
January 19th, 2024 at 5:58 PM ^
Poor UCF. They deserved better.
January 19th, 2024 at 6:11 PM ^
This is all so stupid. Investigating one or two schools for stuff everyone is doing: inducements, tampering, etc. Unless there's a chance lots of schools have received similar notices and those stories haven't broken yet?
January 19th, 2024 at 7:06 PM ^
Mediocre recruiting SEC schools feeling the heat.
Top class for 15 years? Move along nothing to see here. It helps to have Bama grads running the SEC..err NCAA.
January 19th, 2024 at 6:38 PM ^
Cheating to get better players? I wonder if that gives them any sort of advantage, maybe even a competitive one.
January 19th, 2024 at 9:26 PM ^
What about player safety? Better, faster players hitting? Clearly a huge risk to innocent student athletes!
January 19th, 2024 at 7:04 PM ^
The investigation is related to the Rashada recruitment.
January 19th, 2024 at 9:37 PM ^
$13 million? For a prospect? Yikes.
January 19th, 2024 at 7:04 PM ^
When you are in the SEC you win every recruiting battle and go to the playoffs or you will get the NCAA stick! A playoff bound Florida 2023 team absolutely gets no NCAA heat whatsoever!
Tennessee if you didnt want the NCAA hammer you needed to make a playoff sorry thems the rules.
Squeaky clean Bama and Georgia? Come the fuck on already.
January 19th, 2024 at 7:16 PM ^
Everything Bama has, "accomplished," under Saban should have a Death Star-sized asterisk tied to it.
January 19th, 2024 at 7:13 PM ^
Fuck the NCAA in entirety in this day and age, but seriously? These guys need to toss around 8 figures to get investigated whereas they're trying to nail us over $25 of food (maybe $28 if they added the bacon)?
January 19th, 2024 at 7:16 PM ^
Is there any truth to the rumor that the school in Gainesville offered a prospect and their family the "Genie Plus Pass" for a day at Walt Disney World?
The Genie Plus replaced the "Fast Pass" - and allowed people to skip the lines - reducing their wait time.
Or - was it an orange and blue Lamborghini?
Oh - the SEC - the Lambo is fine - the Genie Plus pass would cause great havoc.
January 19th, 2024 at 8:20 PM ^
Wait a second. Is the NCAA actually investigating real shit? What is happening?
January 19th, 2024 at 9:44 PM ^
Tampa Bay Times is a garbage rag.
January 19th, 2024 at 10:40 PM ^
What's even still an infraction? Other than "being Michigan."
January 20th, 2024 at 4:32 AM ^
Oh great. Yet another thing that Petitti will suspend Harbaugh for. NCAA investigation must mean Harbaugh did something.
