We all knew the guy had some game. Good for him!
August 23rd, 2020 at 5:24 PM ^
I still remember watching the national championship game he was in.
August 23rd, 2020 at 5:32 PM ^
The block was clean!
(And so is your post)
August 23rd, 2020 at 8:18 PM ^
I still think he should be banned. He just says enough generic stuff like "I watched a game with Burke in it" to keep his head above water, but even his normal comments say almost nothing.

Stfu and use the troll cave.
August 24th, 2020 at 8:15 AM ^
I tried checking out the troll cave but was Rick Rolled. (My kids listen to that song all of the time because they love the concept of Rick rolling and don't know that the song is bad.)
August 24th, 2020 at 11:26 AM ^
I actually think the song is a solid 80s hit. Great voice, good melody, catchy song. I think that is the appel of the rick roll, it's not a bad song.

Hardaway Jr is cooking now too. Mavs back in the lead!
August 23rd, 2020 at 5:33 PM ^
It will be interesting what happens to him after the season. He looks so good right now.
August 23rd, 2020 at 5:33 PM ^
Burke has speed.... Hardaway not doing too badly either
The Mavs are a fun team to watch, hope they advance
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:02 PM ^
Doubt it...but they are a great watch
August 23rd, 2020 at 5:59 PM ^
Rick Carlisle is an underrated coach.
August 23rd, 2020 at 7:28 PM ^
but he's too mean

Burke & Hardaway Jr. are thoroughly outplaying the so called “Playoff P”
August 23rd, 2020 at 7:46 PM ^
Never trust a person who gives themself their own nickname
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:08 PM ^
damn this is a good game
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:09 PM ^
This is an awesome game
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:12 PM ^
Helluva game....going down to the wire. LA may take the lead back here on FTs. Bad possession for Dallas previously...greatD by Kawhi though
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:14 PM ^
Damn another meh possesison by Dallas...this isolation for 10 seconds of the shot clock is so shitty...work for a shot and have guys moving the entire possession
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:21 PM ^
Mavs need to put Burke on Williams to win this game
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:23 PM ^
Love Trey but he should know better trying Kawhi there
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:26 PM ^
The block was clean!
And Trey's good.
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:33 PM ^
Burke on the bench end of reg and end of OT?
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:36 PM ^
Wow! What a game!
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:36 PM ^
Luka
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:37 PM ^
Wow, Luka! Have yourself a game!
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:37 PM ^
Doncic is a Rock Star...
what a game!
August 23rd, 2020 at 9:03 PM ^
You should spend more time in eastern block Europe.
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:39 PM ^
The NBA.
It's (occasionally) Fan-tastic!
One helluva finish.
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:50 PM ^
Yeah I was kind of lamenting a little after the Sixers got swept that many series were not all that competitive and that injuries had marred the ones that had been the best. Then the Mavs pull that off without Kristaps.
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:43 PM ^
First two players to find Doncic for celebration: Burke and THJ. True competitors and lifetime memory makers for all of us. Congrats Mavs and go blue!
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:47 PM ^
An instant classic. Burke really delivered. He kept them in the game in the first quarter and ignited the rally at several points.
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:55 PM ^
The only real stinker series thus far has been the Celtics vs Sixers, mostly because Philly is a mess. This has been a really fun playoffs otherwise.
August 24th, 2020 at 12:36 AM ^
It wouldn't have saved them but Philly really could've used Burke. No playmaking on that team with Simmons out.
August 24th, 2020 at 12:14 PM ^
Unreal how bad that front office has been once they kicked Hinkie to the curb. Two of the worst contracts in basketball in Horford and Harris, two all-NBA talents that are uniquely poorly suited to play alongside each other, and no true shooters on a roster that desperately need them. Would love to see an alternate history where Hinkie gets a shot at landing The Process.

While it lasts on there, here are Trey Burke's highlights in the game today.

Trey earned himself some serious money in the bubble. Hardaway’s game has translated eerily similar to the NBA. Confident, streaky shooter and shoddy defender.
August 23rd, 2020 at 6:57 PM ^
He was +17 in 37 minutes; the team was -15 in the 16 minutes without him.
August 23rd, 2020 at 7:14 PM ^
Great to see Burke doing well on a national stage. He seems to be thriving in the bubble. Hopefully he can keep it up next season.
August 23rd, 2020 at 7:19 PM ^
Trey had another great performance, to the point where the announcers were befuddled as to why he wasn’t in at the end of the game. Truly an awesome time watching him tear it up once again.
August 23rd, 2020 at 8:57 PM ^
The Nets suck but Caris has a 35 point game going right now.
Good showing for UM today.

A part of me gets it, but a smaller, atrophying humanist part of me will always be baffled that top-20 recruits always took a pass on Beilein.
I get that (at the time they're recruited) they're high schoolers and vulnerable to impulse and influence. But none of them were interested in the tutelage of a coach who's reached the Finals twice and has former players out on the court in the NBA, not simply riding bench or stuck in the G-league? Objectively, Beilein's not a bad bet if your goal in college is glory or money. The only thing he won't do is slide a bag of cash under the table, but it's dismaying that his Lawful Good reputation didn't win him a single top-tier recruit. Not for the program per se, but for society in general. I just don't feel like Beilein should be such a glaring exception, even as I know he damn well is.

Happy for Burke and Hardaway Jr, as they both had pretty awesome games, but this thread should really be about how crazy good Luka Doncic is. especially for a 21 year old. I still can't believe my local Sacramento Kings passed on him because Vlade Divac didn't think with Luka's dad was nice enough.
August 23rd, 2020 at 10:01 PM ^
Luca is Larry Bird 2.0... and not because he's white.
Just very similar games. A bit slow, but great body control. Great vision and passing skills, great positioning on rebounds, running pick and roll to perfection.
Luca seems the better natural ball handler and Larry was obviously a better pure shooter, but the the ability to force the game to be played at their own pace and always being the centerpiece is eerily similar.
Will be interesting to see Luca mature and if he can get his 3 point % up to the 36-40% region. He's special and clutch.
August 23rd, 2020 at 10:40 PM ^
Sorry to say, but given Divacs' track record as GM the real surprise would've been him taking Luka
August 24th, 2020 at 9:34 AM ^
Since shaking off some Game 1 jitters, both Trey Burke and Duncan Robinson have been crazy efficient. 25 points on 14 shots with two turnovers is a good night's work for anyone.
Speaking of which, though, is it the 1980s all over again? No squad was held under 100 points all weekend.
