Can we nominate Brady for Athletic Director. Would love to hear him respond in kind to the NCAA.

sounds like he's f***cking playing again by his f***cking answer
January 25th, 2023 at 8:54 AM ^
Yep, "There's no there there," yet
January 25th, 2023 at 3:14 PM ^
Well played!
January 24th, 2023 at 11:47 PM ^
Thumbs down for Brady as AD. He's the GOAT, but he's also a flippin' weird human being (and those two things are likely correlated). Not someone I want in charge of a dept that is responsible both for athletic performance but also basic things like treating people decently and fairly.
January 25th, 2023 at 12:57 AM ^
I agree that he's a bad fit for an AD role. I disagree that he's a " 'flippin weird human being".
January 25th, 2023 at 7:25 AM ^
Yea, the stuff with his trainer is pretty weird. He seems to be really drawn to scams. From my perspective, I’m just sick of hearing about him. It’s been 20+ years. Used to be a big fan. Defended him during deflategate, the video stuff, he’s just a system QB, etc. Time to move on.
January 25th, 2023 at 8:43 AM ^
GTFOH
January 25th, 2023 at 8:55 AM ^
For what? Having an opinion?
Like I said, I was big fan and defended him against all of the stuff people used to say about him - that he was a system QB and a cheater. In re-reading my post, I think I probably could have phrased it better. I wasn't saying "Tom Brady is a system QB." I realized it can read like that. I do think he's really into some weird, scammy shit. The Alex Guerrero stuff is weird and feels cultish and I think any one associated with crypto is weird too.
The last few years have just felt like a soap opera. I get he had a falling out with BB and he wanted to prove he could win without him, which he did. Great. What's there left to prove? Either say you're coming back or just retire.
January 25th, 2023 at 8:57 AM ^
hi - I'm associated with Crypto. I guess I'm weird?
January 25th, 2023 at 9:21 AM ^
yes.
everyone i know who as associated with crypto and NFTs has lost 60-90% of their investments, which was predictable.
hope that hasn't happened to you.
January 26th, 2023 at 10:21 AM ^
Just watched a clip of Jimmy Fallon a few years ago comparing his version of chimp with Paris Hilton’s. I can’t believe we’re at this point. The extraterrestrials are just biding their time instead of wasting efforts on sapiens.
January 27th, 2023 at 5:39 PM ^
everyone i know who as associated with crypto and NFTs has lost 60-90% of their investments, which was predictable.
so your experience with maybe 10 or 20 individuals is indicative of everyone who ever bought bitcoin? The folks that bought in April of 2015 at $220 have lost more than have their money? Do you actually believe this stuff you type (in which case, you are decidedly the weird individual in this discussion) or do you just get your jollies by pissing people off (in which case…oh, same conclusion)?
January 25th, 2023 at 4:33 PM ^
I can think of other reasons you’re weird, but probably not that.
Also, I am weird for those same reasons
January 25th, 2023 at 9:00 AM ^
No, for having a shitty opinion. He's one of the programs best ambassadors.
January 25th, 2023 at 9:01 PM ^
Negged??
How can UM football have a better representative than the GOAT?
January 25th, 2023 at 12:49 PM ^
How about he just loves the game and wants to play, but he just needs time to decide if he should retire or continue to play. Nothing soap opera about that. It's his life and decision
January 26th, 2023 at 5:52 PM ^
Weird thing to say about crypto.
He has nothing to prove, is it really so hard to believe he might want to keep playing quarterback in the NFL for a living? You thinking that way makes you weird.
January 25th, 2023 at 8:47 AM ^
By system QB, do you mean he wins in every system he plays in (Michigan, New England, and Tampa)? If so, then yeah he is most definitely a system QB with that definition.
January 25th, 2023 at 8:57 AM ^
Clarified above. I was a little short/sloppy. I was saying, I was big fan and used to defend him against accusations of being a system QB or a cheater w/r/t the video stuff and Deflategate, but I've just grown tired of the constant media presence.
January 25th, 2023 at 11:16 AM ^
It was clear what you were trying to say, i think some just wanted to jump down your throat one way or the other.
January 25th, 2023 at 1:43 PM ^
No, he's definitely a weird dude. Look into his TB12 Method book. He does some very dumb dieting stuff and believes shit like drinking enough water means you don't need sunscreen. He's not that different than wacko celebs like Gweneth Paltrow.
January 26th, 2023 at 8:47 AM ^
Before we called anyone weird, we must first define what is "normal". And because there is no such thing in nature 100% normal in humans. Then I f***ing guess that f***ing makes us all f**ing weird
January 25th, 2023 at 1:34 AM ^
Maybe more driven at something than many of us, but compared to all the people that driven, he's pretty normal.
Wants to hang out with his sisters and family...stay out of spotlight (compare brady to deion "prime")...when he was in college his wish was just to have new socks every day just because it's so comfortable...he did a instagram post of the lion king with his new puppy.
He seems more like an average dad than weird.
January 25th, 2023 at 8:00 AM ^
...but being that driven IS weird.
So he's not that weird compared to people who are weird?
January 25th, 2023 at 8:23 AM ^
I look at people being 'that driven' as addicts. It's just that they chose competition as their substance. It's why addicts that recover often find their way to a 'healthier' obsession, like tying flies or running marathons. To me, this is how I see Brady.
January 25th, 2023 at 9:26 AM ^
This is accurate.
January 25th, 2023 at 4:01 PM ^
Not sure I would give him credit for being an average Dad and family guy. Him being selfish and wanting to play football for another year cost him his marriage and have heard even strained his relationship with his kids.
He has nothing left to prove. Retire and spend that quality time with your kids that they have missed out on because you play and have such a regimental life
January 25th, 2023 at 1:51 AM ^
Sometimes being weird is good. Harbaugh is a weird guy, but he’s our weird guy.
January 25th, 2023 at 7:15 AM ^
Is he weird though? Honestly he's more normal than most people, he knows he loves football and doesn't have time for BS. Most people are weird they care about their movie stars family drama, like that's pretty effing weird!
January 25th, 2023 at 8:53 AM ^
yes, he's weird. as stated above, he's our weird coach, we're glad to have him.
January 25th, 2023 at 9:27 AM ^
Well, that’s always the key differentiator of evaluation when it comes to “weird”: the inclusion of “our” (or not).
January 25th, 2023 at 12:54 PM ^
Yes. He's weird. It's not in question.
January 25th, 2023 at 8:59 AM ^
weird = rich
normal = poor
January 25th, 2023 at 9:15 AM ^
..... that's a very odd take.....
January 25th, 2023 at 10:08 AM ^
It's a reference to this week's Shutdown Fullcast episode.
January 25th, 2023 at 10:51 AM ^
Brady is definitely shark-brain
January 25th, 2023 at 1:24 PM ^
He's probably frustrated that he's at the end of his career and doesn't know what he's going to do next. We see this all the time with superstar athletes. Also, going through a highly public divorce is tough - I've been through it (but not the public part)
I don't claim to be in his head; just spit balling here.
January 25th, 2023 at 5:25 PM ^
You're surely right about his "what's next" career frustration. He doesn't yet know if it's over.
The divorce seems to have been an easier decision for him: sometimes you just *know* when it's time to move on.
January 25th, 2023 at 9:25 AM ^
I think the joke is that rich people aren't crazy, they're eccentric. They can still be weird, though, for example Elon.
January 25th, 2023 at 9:59 AM ^
yet a fair number of wealthy people were poor at one time.....
over generalization is a never productive
January 25th, 2023 at 10:27 AM ^
Always funny to see the fanbase generally deride the 'Michigan man' era of hiring Brady Hoke...and then the same people turn around and recommend all sorts of Michigan athletics alums for positions they are not qualified for just because they played sports here
January 25th, 2023 at 1:03 PM ^
This comment should be stickied and saved forever.
For everyone that constantly wants Tom Brady as our QB coach and Charles Woodson as our DB coach.
January 25th, 2023 at 5:48 PM ^
I mean, they’re the two M alums that are the goats of their respective positions; it’s not that great a leap to think they might be able to teach what they know.
But for AD? Ok, point taken there.
January 24th, 2023 at 11:48 PM ^
Tommy has, in the vernacular of our time, “Fuck you money”. Good for him.
January 25th, 2023 at 4:44 AM ^
He lost a lot of that money (and a lot of his fan's money) in crypto
January 25th, 2023 at 5:59 AM ^
His fans came to him personally and he invested it for them?
January 25th, 2023 at 9:50 AM ^
His fan, apparently.

He And Gisele were given ab equity stake in FTX. So that was wiped out but he didn’t pay for it.
