Today's Bowl Game Predictions - Pickin' and Grinnin'

Mates,

Thought the board might enjoy picking the winners of today's games, with the points.   We call this 'pickin' and grinnin', in honor of a dearly departed friend of mine with whom I did this for many a fall weekend for more than 2 decades.  He worked for me as the Commander of my old gang unit and was as good of a person as he was at tracking down bad guys, and that was saying alot.  We would call and swap predictions, keeping track of the winners, and the most winning picks received nothing more than an 'atta boy', but of course the real reason was the fellowship.  So in his honor, here are today's lines with the favorites in each game listed first, and remember it's picking with the points:

Bama (Al Queda)       9           Ohio (Isis)

Oregon                       7 1/2      Florida State

Auburn                       7             Wisconsin

Baylor                         2 1/2      State

Missouri                      4 1/2       Minnesota

1.  Bama - greater fire power, more armaments, overcomes isis

2.  Oregon - offense!  plus as good as FSU is, they have been lucky so many times.   not today.

3.   Auburn - would prefer wisconsin but after the B10 championship game and no coach, they will be a trainwreck today

4.  Baylor - i think they have enough offense to get past sparty's D, especially with Narduzzi on the way out.

5.  Minnesota - like them, as long as they quit saying they are the 'U of M', that's theft of intellectual property.  like jerry kill, want the B10 to win something today.

FSU, MSU, Bama, Missouri and Auburn win. I think the only other B1G team that covers the spread is Wisconsin

Ohio covers the spread but loses on a last second FG after being up the entire game. Staee gets housed 50-17. The rest are all the favorites for me. I'd like to the B1G do well, just don't see it happening today.

Reasoning:

Urban out-foxes the Saban; 
Florida State luck runs out, and karma finally catches them;
Wisco got rolled by Urban, and Auburn will be worse;
Baylor has too much firepower though game may be close;
Minnesota is still Minnesota

What i'm really hoping is that some reporter asks Dantonio about Harbaugh in the post-game loser's press conference. I'm feeling salty today.

I pick:

OSU and the points. I think Bama wins, but by 7 or less.

I think FSU wins outright. The 7 1/2 seals the deal.

Auburn giving 7 seems ok to me since I think they're going to crush Wiscy.

MSU and 21/2.

Minnesota and 4 1/2.

whata great football day! Predictions? Predictions! #1 wispy is about to get crushed. Auburn and Ohio run similar offenses. But auburn runs it waaaaaaay better #2 Stae cannot stop baylor's scoring machine. (Who picks these match ups?) #3 Minnesota. Dear lord who picks these match ups? although Indiana did beat Missouri this year. #4 Ohio state this is gonna hurt. Not me, but Alabama will roll if you will. Big time. #5 Oregon will edge out FSU. But it's gonna be down. To. The. Wire.

How are people picking Ohio St. Over Alabama? It's basically a home game for Alabama being in New Orleans. OSU 0-11 against the SEC all time. I say it's going to be 42-14 Alabama, score look familiar?

Ohio State loses big (by at least 14)
Oregon wins, but not by enough to cover the spread, so FSU
Auburn wins by 3 touchdowns
Michigan State upsets Baylor and wins by 10
Missouri dominates Minnesota and wins by 21

Bama - Saban's defense will confuse and smother Jones, OSU has no one to stay with Cooper

Oregon - It will be cold at the Rose Bowl, maybe wet. Duck weather.  Home game

Auburn - Wisconsin is a rudderless ship

Baylor - Dantonio's defense ain't what it used to be and they can't run with baylor

Missouri - If Mizzou's head is in this game, Minnesota doesn't have a chance.

I'll take the underdogs in all but Auburn over Wisconsin.  Baylor is a better team than Michigan State, but I'm taking Staee on the theory that Baylor has been too distracted and won't be up for the game.  

I think Oregon and FSU will be high scoring w/ the Ducks moving on but not covering.
