Thoughts on the Purdue game

Submitted by Eric on
I'm not trying to get ahead of ourselves or anything here, but I had a discussion with my Dad about this. Do you think, given the chance, that Rich Rod would bury Purdue? After the stunt that Hope pulled last year, I think Rich Rod would embarrass them, if he has the opportunity. What do you all think?

Rodriguez is not going to let up on anyone this season, especially Purdue. We will hang large numbers of points on them. The margin of victory will depend on the defense's ability to stop Purdue.

and after the game Molk and Martin would pin Danny Hope to the ground, while Rich Rod shaves off his mustache.
Than getting up in humiliation Coach Hope tears his ACL, complements of the Purdue ACL hating god.

I am looking forward to the Purdue game as much as any this year for that very reason.  We will see just how big of balls RR has.  I was there last year in the 12th row and watched as they all left the field.  I saw the altercation as it was happening and I thought that it was weird and nothing more.  Then I learned of the backstory when I got home and my first thought was, "Oh Danny boy, you are goint to see that scoreboard at 80 next year".  Put PSU away first.

we have not beat any team on our schedule for the next three weeks in the RR era, I think the focus in on getting a win.  Perhaps we should leave running up the score for teams that are, say, capable of running up the score.  Perspective is key right now.

unless you're talking about UM fans with pre-existing cardiac conditions, in which case "burying" suddenly has a grim literal meaning.

tOSU already exacted their common, Tressel-esque measure of vengeance last weekend. A typical blowout isn't soul-crushing enough. So I propose: a) A career day from our dual-threat QB. b) We let them lead most of the way, giving up a punt-return TD while we're at it, but c) We take the lead late in the 4th on a hook and lateral... d) ...Scored by Roy Roundtree. e) RR pantses Danny Hope in the middle of the field and says "HA-ha!" Danny Hope sings about the summer winds.
