Super Bowl 50 Prediction Thread

Submitted by Trump on
I know we are still 6 hours from kickoff, but I am extremely bored and anxious. What are your predictions for the big game tonight? I have a feeling that Cam is going to struggle early, but start to play his game in the second half. Panthers rally to a 38-34 victory. Go Panthers!

Curious if a lot of the Panther predictions are subconsciously due to the Brady/Manning rivalry. Seems as if most UM fans don't want Manning to get another SB and continue the media talk of which QB had a better overall career. If I'm honest, that's what I'm feeling and why I can't break myself away from wanting the Panthers to win.

I think subconsciously is the right word.  It may be even conscious for some.  I am not a Manning fan because I am a Huge Brady fan.  Brady does not QB my lifelong favorite team though, Manning does.  So I root for the Broncos to win and hope Peyton has a somewhat Pedestrian game.

Now some people probably legitimately believed Carolina was the better team.  That was evidenced by so many analysts, stars, etc. picking the Panthers.  Yet I thought all along that when most said the Denver D was good, they just would not be able to contain Cam that was short sighting Denver.

Go Blue!  Go Broncos!

Sherrifs team- 26 Cams team- 24. The old man goes out as a champ. Vernon Davis with the big catch in the final drive to push Denver to victory.

Bennie Fowler grabs a touchdown pass in the late minutes for the Broncos. Devin Funchess drops a game-winner with seconds left. Another kick in the nuts for this weekend's events.

I predict a team will win. And there will be highly overrated commercials that everyone will want to talk about all day for the next week.

I have smart TVs and DVRs precisely so I don't have to watch stupid ads that don't even make sense.

The end.

Having watched the broncos D, the ends are great at getting to the qb without blitzing. They're fast and athletic and I think they match up well against Carolinas spread run offense.

Panthers win 24-21.Cam throws a TD and runs one in, the other TD will be either Tolbert or Stewart runnign it in. Manning will throw a TD, the ground game will get a TD, and they will pick up some special teams or defensive TD.

Line opened Carolina -3 and then quickly moved to Carolina -5.  Crested at Carolina -7 on Friday then dollars started flowing Denver's way and as of this minute it's back down to Carolina -5 again and dropping.  And 57% of all monies wagered have been placed in the past 24 hours!

I'm playing Carolina -6.  Should've waited - hope it doesnt matter....

What I'd like to see:

Denver 24-17. Not because I like Denver or that I hate Newton. I'd just like to see Peyton, one of the all time greats, ride off into the sunset with another ring.

What I think will happen:

Carolina 34-20. Newton is just on another level and Peyton is not the same player anymore. Denver's defense will slow Newton down at times but he's too much to stop.

All I really care about: just want to see a great game. Not another stinker like the Seattle-Denver SB.
