Thanks for getting hurt thread
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:10 PM ^
What a disgusting comment.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:14 PM ^
But that is basically what the OP is saying. This thread is an embrassment for this site.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:28 PM ^
nothing could be farther from the truth. i literally wished him a safe recovery. i would never wish injury on anyone. jesus.
September 23rd, 2017 at 9:10 PM ^
Your ending sentence reveals what you realy think about this injury. Fans really are terrible human beings. This kid has done nothing but bleed for this team.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:37 PM ^
As it reads now, it doesn't seem bad--? Color me confused.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:22 PM ^
I'm not saying that, the thread is. That's why I said it's not necessary. Jerk
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:38 PM ^
O'Korn played well and that's awesome. It has not been announced that speight is no longer starter so a appreciation thread assuming that isn't right. He got hurt, let's hope he heals up and that's that.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:13 PM ^
Delete this. You belong way farther away from this team than Bolivia.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:18 PM ^
What a fucking asshole you are.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:33 PM ^
Reading comprehension is not your thing scum
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:37 PM ^
Apparently, it's not YOUR thing. He's obviously talking about the "Thank you for being hurt" remark. Even if you were suggesting that the OP was implying that (which he/she wasn't), you are a piece of shit for saying it. Boliva for you, SCUM!
September 23rd, 2017 at 9:09 PM ^
On the internet. You fucking loser. In real life you're a fucking loser. Your parents are fucking losers too. Fuck off. Read that. You're a loser.
September 23rd, 2017 at 9:45 PM ^
You implied a meaning that the o.p. never expressed--appraciation for Speight being hurt. She has stated that she was so affected by the injury that she cried over it. Her expression was genuine. So you're the one with the reading comprehension problem. Also: you're a loser AND a scumbag.
September 24th, 2017 at 7:13 AM ^
Inferred, tough guy. Not implied.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:42 PM ^
Each of these guys Speight and O'Korn have positives and have now both won games for Michigan.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:04 PM ^
I wanna appreciate him from the bench from now on
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:04 PM ^
Get better good buddy. Thank you for last year. Prayers sent your way. Fortunately, you can heal with a capable back up leading he offense. Unfortunately, when you come back, you may not have the same job. #Meritocracy
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:04 PM ^
Even if O'Korn solifies a hold on the role (sure looks like it today) chances are good we'll need Speight to step up in a key role again. And I'll feel good about him there.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:09 PM ^
I've been a huge O'Korn guy even after last year when he looked terrible. But just like we needed O'Korn today, we may need Speight down the road and now we know we have 2 guys who can lead us to W's.
That said, it's going to be tough because whenever one struggles, we're going to want the other one even more. They both better be ready to play!
Get well, Wilton. Get better, OL.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:17 PM ^
If you manage people you see situations where a person needs time away from a role to get things straightened out. They can come back stronger for it.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:18 PM ^
Speight's problem is WITH the role of quarterback. It's not off-field issues that he needs to get "straightened out". Speight has been here 4 years, so if he doesn't have his head on straight with respect to completing passes, he never will. What we saw today is as good as he's going to be for us going forward.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:51 PM ^
Fuck off, troll.
September 23rd, 2017 at 9:30 PM ^
that we don't have two guys who can lead us to wins against decent teams. It's not even sure we have one, but if we do, it is O'Korn, absolutely and without question.
Speight looked absolutely lost out there. There is no way he can run this offense.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:40 PM ^
If OKorn started you'd have said he looked lost until coaching staff made the necessary adjustments and put the O in a better position. I am grateful that JOK stepped up to the job but he turned the ball over once too, wasn't his fault just like some of Speight's TOs have not been his fault.
Also, the offensive unit stepped up their game after Speight got hurt.
Really, unless you have walked in their shoes, played, coached, what do you know?
Nothing is "absolutely and without question" to armchair observers like you and me.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:52 PM ^
Fuck off, troll.
September 23rd, 2017 at 11:26 PM ^
Speight has been borderline awful. He’s gotten worse, not better and he looks totally overwhelmed for a 4 th year QB.
September 23rd, 2017 at 9:17 PM ^
Has Speight looked capable of leading a Big Ten Championship Team, much less a National Championship team this year? He looks to have made little to no progress over last year. I don't wish anyone to get hurt. I hope he comes back and is 100%, but I don' think there is much objective evidence that he should be the leader of our offense.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:05 PM ^
you're just asking for people to post snide (and obvious) remarks. but oh well. wish the guy well, hope he is doing fine.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:05 PM ^
You jest! Hope Sp8 is ok and recovers but should be O'Korn moving forward.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:12 PM ^
Well Speight injured his back so...it kind of has to be.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:25 PM ^
the major problem is still the oline. they were awful again.
September 23rd, 2017 at 9:28 PM ^
which is exactly why we need a guy who can navigate the pocket to give our speedy TE's torch LB's.
I texted a friend in Q1 that we might not be a top 20 team but after JOK righted the ship I'd say we are more of a top five threat with Dr. Brown's incredible defense that gave up just 10 yards in total offense in the second half.
His adjustmenst to PU's misdirections were incredible.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:25 PM ^
The simple fact remains that O'Korn performed far, far better than Speight today, with the SAME Oline, the same receivers, the same running backs, and against the same defense. The Speight apologists have run out of excuses.
September 23rd, 2017 at 10:53 PM ^
Fuck off, troll.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:05 PM ^
we actually opened up some actual non 3 tight formations after he left. Not sure how Jim expects to move the ball consistently by constantly bringing 9 defenders into the box. Makes NO sense to me.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:07 PM ^
For sure. The only thing good about that was we tricked Purdue into thinking we would run once for a nice pass to Poggi (I think). You can do it once in a while but we did it far to often today.

Probably because O'korn can actually move as a human person.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:06 PM ^
Really an appreciation thread.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:07 PM ^
Started drinking early, huh.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:07 PM ^
Wilton. Hope all is fine.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:11 PM ^
I've missed you, Elno.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:08 PM ^
but haven't heard a thing about the injury.
Wish him health -- he has his whole life in front of him.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:08 PM ^
Wish him good health but I'm ready to roll with Johnny Jumpman.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:08 PM ^
Gotta feel bad for the guy. He had no time in the pocket today. Running backs were awful picking up blitzs.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:09 PM ^
Speight's not done yet... It is not 100% a given that Harbaugh is going to bench a healthy Speight for John O'Korn, but even if JOK finishes out the season as the starter, he'll be done at the end of the season.
Speight on the other hand still has a redshirt senior year to play, and will probably be the leading contender next season.
September 23rd, 2017 at 8:13 PM ^
Speight has always been average or a liability at worst. I'd say he's been passed on the depth chart even if he's healthy.
