I agree with this. MSU couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat last night. Something tells me they won't miss so many open look shots like they did last night. However they do not have an identity on offense. They are short in the post. I am not getting my hopes up yet. Whenever I do the angry elf has a way of making me feel stupid for getting my hopes up.

Normally sparty struggles this time of year.  However there just seems to be something with their team where it doesn't appear they can figure it out. I am not expecting them to shoot the way they did last night every single game they play. They just played Wisconsin tough the other day. It is a treat to see them 0-3 right now in conference play. But if I have learned anything from watching Izzo, he will figure something out to where they are more than capable of beating everyone they play. So I am being cautiously optimistic.

Im thinking back to before the season even started and Izzo was doing a lot of lobbying and whining about how difficult everything was with scheduling and such. Perhaps he knew his team wasn't that good?  He's been coaching a long time and he would know his teams potential. Him and douchebag K are the only ones I know who have publicly whined about it.

"... being a one year breeding ground for the NBA with nothing to show for it."

Yep...  Same with K, even though nobody would ever try to push him out (publicly, anyway).  Even if this season is scratched, it won't matter for Cal and K - neither of them will win with a team full of one & dones.  The little troll can get back to winning (as much as that would suck) because he doesn't subscribe to the 1&done mantra.

Not a single player on the roster who scares me on offense. Rocket is their most talented offensive player but his decision making is terrible.

And, as a squad, they can neither rebound nor play defense.

I've played against far better PG's than Foster Loyer on playgrounds.

Aaron Henry might be the most over-hyped player ever in East Landfill. His NBA draft grade likely came back as "pizza delivery".

Worst squad I've seen at Staee in 40+ years of watching.

What I'm curious about is that they have 12 scholarship players and only one is a senior in Langford but they have 3 recruits coming in. That puts them at 14 total assuming Langford doesn't come back. He won't count because he's a senior anyway but I still don't see how they can oversign. If you look at Michigan's current roster for next year, at this current time we can't add anyone else that isn't a returning senior or transfer senior.

They relied so much on Tilman and Winston with not much left on the team and an incoming class that was average. Not disappointed. An 0-3 start means big ten championship chances are almost gone. At least now when they play teams ahead of us in the standings it’s a win win no matter who comes on top. Makes watching those games more fun

Michigan plays them in two months. Sparty has often derped it up in November and December. This looks very different to me, however. Close losses that were low scoring, versus some just uncharacteristic defensive play. This is a pretty big deal for Sparty to start 0-3 and I suppose I find it funny, but not ha ha funny. A sign I am afraid that Izzo is fading out. This is due to the game becoming less something that’s top down (and old whities micromanage like a mutha), and more where you need to recruit one or two year guys.

When you replace Cassius Winston with Foster Loyer and Xavier Tillman with Thomas Kithier, you have a problem.

Also, the fact that Aaron Henry is getting draft considerations is lunacy. He’s a junior who hasn’t shown he can do much more than be athletic.

This theory might fit going forward....   that Izzo sees our great team and the sublime job Howard has done, and has become insecure... and teams take on the personality of the coach, "yes? yes?"    And MSU begins to fall apart, going on insecurity of their leader..... And explains his out of character interview on praising Beilein, which could have been a weak attempt at mental subterfuge toward Howard...   If this not quite farfetched theory is on, then this is the end of Izzo, who will retire, before it is realized that Howard and our program has passed him.     Oh, and GO BLUE !
