I thought the internet was born out of the human need to share data between serious academics and porn between everyone else.

get this. Just because a person doesn't have a zillion points he isn't reliable? He is just relaying something that he heard. Might be true, might be not. The real problem is your lack of protocall. This board does its very best to post factual information backed up with credible weblinks. The posters on this board do not show up every day and ask "what are the latest rumors?" Or post the juiciest BS they "heard" and ask if anyone else has heard about it. IF someone has something worth revealing, and they have weblinks or credible sources (Raback) then information will be posted.

That is why I said protocall. Know the forum you intend to post to. Nobody (but you) comes round here and posts "rumors" to "ask" if they are true. People only post when they are "certain" something is true. They are "certain" because they have a link to back up their claim. Or they are a reliable poster with tons of street cred. (Raback)
