I had heard rumors, but its nice seeing it confirmed. I like that spot for it. Although I'd have to imagine that the set will be turned around so the grad/diag are in the background rather than Rackham in order to fit all of the fans in.

Can't wait! Now I just have to find a good breakfast place to hit up in that area. Unless it's ok to set up the grill on the top floor of a parking structure.

Angelos is delicious and not that far away. Also, Afternoon delight is further toward main street but also very worth it.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

It is far if you're walking, which you might be since campus will be a zoo.

from Ingalls mall. From the stadium, however, is a hike.

There will be walking, unless someone wants to use their car as crowd control. I drive an Impala, so it's a large enough sedan that I could push my way through.....at 2 MPH, of course.

I used to hitch rides on the trunk/hood of willing cars driving by. Until I figured out that walking was much faster.

will be PACKED, expect at least an hour wait. Check out Northside Grill instead.

Personal I would eat in one of the great downtown Ann Arbor restaurants, but here is another option http://www.wisebread.com/cooking-great-meals-with-your-car-engine-the-heat-is-on

lol, my buddy is from downriver. so he'd probably be all for that cooking option.

It said the show will also be doing live hits throughout the day on Friday, sounds like a two day party.

I found this to be pretty neat. Maybe I am extremely unobservant, but I didnt know gameday broadcasted from their location on Friday often. I am getting more and more excited for this game.

They usually film college football live from the game day location on Friday.

This spot is perfect for gameday, and Im glad its finally confirmed. Right near all the dorms so it should be very crowded with students throughout the day. Cant wait.

Great location as it offers some good views of Central Campus for people who have never seen it before. It is also a good place for them to mention something we've all known on this board for some time now - we think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years would we have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.

Where did this start? I've seen it on every thread tonight.
August 27th, 2011 at 8:31 AM ^
how early do i have to get down there to get near the set up?
August 27th, 2011 at 11:17 AM ^
I'm sure there are going to be people pulling out the tents and camping out.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:11 AM ^
how long of a walk will it be from the stadium?
August 27th, 2011 at 10:29 AM ^
25 minutes.
August 27th, 2011 at 11:26 PM ^
You must walk slow. Or maybe you're stopping for a red plastic cup of beer at each house along the way.
August 27th, 2011 at 10:49 AM ^
This s pretty awesome. Only a block from my apartment. I probably wasn't going to go if it required walking down to the stadium that early.
I usually neg SIAP posts, but I'm going to let this one slide. Good shit.

Wonder if the clock tower will be chiming during the broadcast, or if they will disable it?
GO BLUE!
August 27th, 2011 at 12:33 PM ^
It's great to make the nice short walk over from SQ to get there.
August 27th, 2011 at 3:48 PM ^
Ingalls Mall huh?
That's not bad at all.
Does anyone know which way the stage will face there?
I kinda wish it was in front of the grad library facing out toward the rest of the diag, but I'll take it.
Can't wait to stop by!
