So is this a done deal like "Harbaugh to Michigan" is a done deal or is this more of a "Harbaugh's staying in the NFL" done deal?  Oris this one of those "Mora will take the job if offered" done deal's?

I used to know what that term meant (or so I thought).  Not so much anymore.

He probably deserves a shot at a big school.  Dunno how much of MSU's D is him vs. Dantonio, but if any D-Coordinator deserves a shot, it's probably Narduzzi.

You act as if they wont have an excuse no matter what.  This is a school who thinks evey game begins with the refs, Delaney, and the Blue Wall against them, along with cosmic forces.  They have never lost a game in history in their program that was not swiped from them by outside forces.  They still complain about refs calls from games 5-7 years ago on RCMB.

Now all Pitt's opposing coaches will have to teach their players to guard against the helmet twist. Good riddance, pally. Don't let the screen door hit you where the good Lord split you.

This pleases me.  But I really wonder if it will have any huge effect on MSU.  Dantion also won an NC as a DC and is a very good DB coach.  This probably more depends on which other assistants Narduzzi takes with him.

Yeah, the assistants are probably key.  Hell no one saw the drop off in MSU's offense coming when their OC took another job a few years back.  The D I still think will be fine.  I'm also wondering if he brings an offensive assistant or two with him looking for a promotion or something.  Regardless, I think Dantonio has a well oiled machine running right now, and I'll believe it falls off the rails when I see it at this point.

I feel conflicted abou this. Part of me says it's great to get him out of there, the other part just says that Sparty will use it as an excuse when we start beating them again.

They'd have some sort of excuse even if we start beating them if Narduzzi stays. As always, the best comeback is the scoreboard, so I couldn't care less if they have Lombardi, Jesus Christ, Gandhi, Belichick, GERG, or some other poor soul on the sideline or calling plays as long as we beat them.

Seems like a good fit for him. I think Chryst did an alright job at Pitt, considering he oversaw the transition from the joke that was the Big East to the ACC. I think the difference in competition was a reason we didn't see a bump in Pitt's record the last three seasons. They ran an offense somewhat similar to what he was used to seeing MSU run. Should be able to recruit Ohio decently from Pittsburgh too.
