For the last three nights in a row, I've dreamed about Michigan Football. This is the first time that's happened in a long time.

To be clear: I'm not dreaming about being on the Michigan Football team, I'm not dreaming about Michigan winning the national championship, I'm not even dreaming about being at a Michigan game...I'm just dreaming about watching Michigan play Utah on TV. And WINNING.

So, long story short, I'm with you. Surely it has to be tomorrow by now...

Anyone notice the third segment of that article, about Mike DeBord rising through the ranks to become OC at Tennessee?  Although DeBord seems to be a good guy, I'm mildly surprised by this because it's been so long since he was an OC and he wasn't a particularly creative one when he was at UM.

For "blueph" and jsqugg:"

The DeBord piece mentions that, after sitting in on meetings the last two years, DeBord "changed his philosophy" and that the contemporary game consists of "the horizontal game and the vertical game."

What he didn't say is that watching the David Brandon Clusterfuck Offense fail has made him a proponent of spreading out the field.

to be Quarterback U again.  Impressive that JH immediately identified that as the area that needed work and went out and filled up on QB talent.  Lotsa big fellas will be competing for the job the next 2-3 years.

were extremely interesting.  Harbaugh told him he should change his mechanics back to how he threw in H.S.  Apparently, the Houston coaches changed his throwing mechanics once he got there, which O'Korn was not completely in agreement with it sounds like.  I'm wondering what specifically they had him do.

He doesn't F*** with a QB's mechanics unless he absolutely has to.

So many coaches think they know best how to throw a football.  Which is just stupid.  Unless a kid is just doing something ridiculous that is robbing him of all of his power or causing him to throw the ball into the line every time, trying to alter the way he has been throwing the ball for all of his life is just going to completely screw him up.

There have been a number of fantastic QB's in the NFL with unorthodox throwing motions.  Football is a results-oriented business.  Is the kid delivering the ball accurately with zip?  Then dammit, DON'T CHANGE HIS THROWING MOTION JUST BECAUSE IT ISN'T PRETTY.

Harbaugh gets this.  A lot of coaches do not.

While Fisch was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Miami from 2011-12, he recruited O'Korn out of nationally renowned St. Thomas Aquinas High in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. O'Korn and Harbaugh have bonded quickly over the last three months. "I want to be with somebody that's walked in my footsteps," O'Korn said. "He's been where I'm at and can give me advice about the different steps along the way."

Well, with regards to Jim Harbaugh in this passage, there aren't many people more qualified - there might be none in active coaching roles - that could probably provide better insight than what O'Korn is looking for.
