Go make that schnoo!
January 9th, 2023 at 9:18 AM ^
Luke did a great job at Michigan! I will eat crow, I did not expect him to do what he did based on his ranking and the TE's we had on the roster. Some NFL team will be happy to have him on board.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:19 AM ^
Schoonmaker!
Neg me for spelling his name wrong, this is why I don’t post. Haha 😂
January 9th, 2023 at 11:20 AM ^
what's schnoo with you
January 9th, 2023 at 12:04 PM ^
Negging you because like so many, you’re so desperate to be first you both misspell his name and don’t include a link because you only care to be first. That needs to stop.
January 9th, 2023 at 12:06 PM ^
Neggin you for being a douche.
January 9th, 2023 at 12:14 PM ^
Spelled "doosh"? lol
January 9th, 2023 at 1:19 PM ^
And negged you back. Shall we keep going?
January 9th, 2023 at 12:16 PM ^
Upvoting both of you because it's really not that serious.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:21 AM ^
The TE room has got hella thin in the last couple months. It's the right move being projected as a second round pick, but I was really hoping he would stay.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:31 AM ^
Hella thin in the playoffs with him and All gone too. Oh well. Bredeson returns, right? I assume Honigford is out of eligibility. So really just 2 guys returning with significant experience, although Loveland could be awesome next year.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:40 AM ^
Michigan also picked up a TE in the portal from IU.
Depth should be fine.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:48 AM ^
Don't forget that Nyckoles wants to be a TE now.
He and Colton would be the makings of a fantastic TE room!
January 9th, 2023 at 12:04 PM ^
He does? Good stuff if he does and wants to block but that would require him to continue to bulk up.
January 9th, 2023 at 12:22 PM ^
Losing All and Schoon together is bad. I like Loveland but these two guys were excellent blockers and that is by far the most important job of a TE in this offense. Also not encouraged that some of the guys they've recruited over the past few years did not see the field at all. Somebody is going to have an opportunity.
January 9th, 2023 at 12:27 PM ^
Loveland and Barner had similar stats, so I think we should be fine next year too. Hoping we have another guy step up like Hibner or one of the Freshmen have a Loveland like season. All, Schoon, and Hansen are hopefully the only TE we lose, and hopefully the portal TE, Loveland, and another current TE fulfill it. Leaving us down 2 TE overall, and we picked up Tonielli and Marshall. So down 3, gained 3.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:47 AM ^
Honestly, I don't really see what Bredeson brings to the table. I'm amazed he was on the field ahead of some other guys.
Yes, Honigford is out of eligibility. It was already his sixth year in 2022.
January 9th, 2023 at 10:52 AM ^
Bredeson the most fullback-shaped TE on the roster. Also brings grit, hustle and did I mention grit?
January 9th, 2023 at 11:13 AM ^
lunch pail.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:21 AM ^
Good luck Luke!
January 9th, 2023 at 9:25 AM ^
SCHOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNN
January 9th, 2023 at 9:35 AM ^
SCHNOOOOO
January 9th, 2023 at 9:26 AM ^
You talk about a kid that made the most of his opportunity. Looks like he can be a pro for a long time. Get paid Luke!
January 9th, 2023 at 9:27 AM ^
This was expected when he accepted the invite to the East/West Shrine game a couple months ago. Good luck Schoon.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:27 AM ^
I would be worried about TE next year if Loveland didn't already look like a Big Ten starter by the end of his freshman season. That guy is gunna big things here.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:49 AM ^
If Loveland were eligible for draft, he looks as ready as Schoonmaker, and Schoonmaker has always looked like a pro to me.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:44 AM ^
“The Force is with you.”
Wishing him the best.. Go Blue!
January 9th, 2023 at 9:45 AM ^
Just heard on WTKA that Corum is announcing his decision during an appearance on Rich Eisen's show today.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:47 AM ^
Rich Eisen, renowned Michigan Homer. That has to be a good sign...
And Eisen also is an NFL talking head. That has to be a bad sign...
January 9th, 2023 at 9:52 AM ^
My hunch is that Corum is going pro. If he was staying at Michigan, I think he already would have announced himself directly via twitter.
For Michigan's sake, I hope he comes back, but in light of his injury I can completely understand a desire to make serious bank now. NIL money might be fine for one season, but it's not the same thing as a multi-year contract.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:46 AM ^
And Blake Corum will be announcing his decision at 2pm on the Rich Eisen's show.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:47 AM ^
Schoonmaker looks like a pro to me. Of the 3 TEs we have playing in the NFL, namely McKeon, Gentry, and Funchess, I think he will be the best one so far of Harbaugh's tenure.
January 9th, 2023 at 9:54 AM ^
he was a great player for Michigan; his loss in the TCU game was massive imo...
Good luck to him at the next level though, hopefully he blows up there, as I think the potential is there
January 9th, 2023 at 9:55 AM ^
Best of luck schoon ! Corum making his announcement on rich risen show today
January 9th, 2023 at 9:59 AM ^
When is Corum announcing?
January 9th, 2023 at 10:03 AM ^
As good as Schoon and All were, I’m more excited to see how a Loveland-Bredeson pairing will work the next two seasons. Seems like this position group somehow just keeps getting better every year
January 9th, 2023 at 10:51 AM ^
Harbaugh the Younger and Newsome have done great things in recruiting this position. Will be interesting to see how much AJ Barner and Marlin Klein also see the field this fall.
January 9th, 2023 at 10:23 AM ^
If Corum was declaring for the draft, I feel like he would have announced it via twitter. Announcing something on Eisen’s show seems like it sets up for an announcement that will make big waves. On the other hand, I have no idea what I’m taking about.
January 9th, 2023 at 10:23 AM ^
Really appreciate Luke's effort and growth at Michigan. Good luck to him.
January 9th, 2023 at 10:56 AM ^
Good for him, thanks for all the memories in Maize and Blue!
January 9th, 2023 at 11:46 AM ^
Really enjoyed Schnoo on the team. Loved when the crowd roared his name.
The play that sealed his legacy for me was with 11:25 left in the Big Ten championship against Iowa the "soft hands" tip catch to himself from Cade 22 yards down to the 1 yard line.
That showed a big strong "blocking" TE can be super effective pass catcher.
The next play was a "hurry up" dive by Haskins to make it 28-3 and I knew then Michigan would win the Big Ten championship in football.
Thanks Schnoo!
Go Blue!
January 9th, 2023 at 11:47 AM ^
I thought he was going to the Senior Bowl so this wasn't a surprise.
He's a good TE and I think he'll do really well at the combine. Wish him luck.
January 9th, 2023 at 11:58 AM ^
Thanks for the memories and best of luck, Schoonboy Q
January 9th, 2023 at 12:35 PM ^
He could end up being a steal for whatever team drafts him. Patriots, Ravens, Packers, looking at you!
January 9th, 2023 at 8:25 PM ^
Acquitted himself very well as a lightly recruited player from a small state. Very proud of a native son of my adopted home state of Connecticut when many naysayers said he would be a bust.
