Sam Webb on Hakeem Flowers, Kris Frost, and Jack Tabb
For anyone who didnt listened to recruiting roundup this morning, Sam Webb stated that he believes that Michigan currently leads for Frost and Flowers and if they picked today, both would pick Michigan. He also stated that it is his opinion that it is down between us and UNC for Tabb's services. Just a little more good news for the holidays.
GO BLUE!!

Good deal, first rounds on me.

If Tabb were to pick today, it wouldn't be us. He's waiting until after the holidays to make his decision now. He wants to see what happens with the coaches, and then decide.
Even if Rich Rod is retained Tabb still has reservations about how long Rodriguez will be here after this next year. He really likes Michigan, but that's weighing on him a lot. He told me he's going to think about everything over the break and really look at Michigan's situation.

I envy you on a daily basis. I think next year when the THE_KNOWLEDGE makes his comeback and tries to conjure up some THE_KNOWLEDGE challenge where winner gets to be his apprentice, you should have a TomVH apprentice challenge. I would totally participate in yours.

Was thinking the same thing

GERG told me today that the corches will be back for next season, so there you have it.
Seriously, I ran into him today while shopping and asked him after we talked for a minute or two. Not sure what else he would say though.
December 23rd, 2010 at 6:31 PM ^
that was just "corch-speak" right?
December 23rd, 2010 at 7:13 PM ^
Where was GERG shopping at?
The Vidal Sassoon outlet perhaps?

Best Buy

Thanks for the insight. I'm excited to see what happens over the next month.

Kinard qualified, Crime reporter engaged,o$u screwed, and this update. I am happy.

Looking up!!
December 23rd, 2010 at 4:58 PM ^
Geico? Or are you switching to progressive cause of the gator bowl?
December 23rd, 2010 at 5:02 PM ^
wouldn't and/or shouldn't he be at least as worried about UNC's potential sanctions and Butch Davis' job?
December 23rd, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
my thoughts exactly...
December 23rd, 2010 at 5:21 PM ^
Has been doing extremely well on the recruiting trail as of late. Sounds like they might not be doomed.
December 23rd, 2010 at 8:44 PM ^
My thoughts exactly! Highest expectations at UNC in recent memory, and...this, for all intents and purposes, an impolsion. And your telling me the coaches, those responsible for..wait for it, wait for it, oversight aren't having their abilities questioned? Davis may have "built" a championship team at the U, but he doesn't have it on his resume, soooooo...
December 23rd, 2010 at 5:49 PM ^
Same thing that USC and Kiffin told eveyone.......everything was going to be fine.........but didn't happen that way. I would have more reservations about UNC right now.
December 23rd, 2010 at 6:04 PM ^
January is going to be one hell of a month with RR future and then with recruiting.......
December 23rd, 2010 at 6:21 PM ^
Is in a tough spot. He has the RR situation here, and then who knows what at UNC. It is pick your poison.
December 23rd, 2010 at 7:30 PM ^
How can you run into GERG, talk to him, make a post about talking to him AND NOT PROVIDE US WITH AN UPDATE ON THE STATUS OF HIS HAIR?
WTF dude
December 23rd, 2010 at 7:54 PM ^
So whether these players come on board makes little difference.
Consider this; how may games would have Michigan won this year without a terrific performance from DR? He caught most teams by surprise early on but as the season progressed his were not nearly as good.
Granted some of this would be related to his injuries (and you expect more next season) but also teams are better prepared for him.
Take DR out of the Michigan equation and it would not be a .500 team.
December 23rd, 2010 at 8:01 PM ^
Denard Robinson did indeed play for Michigan this year, so there's no reason to take him out of the equation.
December 23rd, 2010 at 8:03 PM ^
Indeed. You are a wise man.
December 23rd, 2010 at 8:48 PM ^
Score!! That is all.
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:48 PM ^
I'd just give ya a thumbs up, but I haven't made it that far yet...
December 24th, 2010 at 10:24 AM ^
Why don't we take Mike Martin out as well??
December 23rd, 2010 at 8:03 PM ^
That can be said about many teams. Take away Cam Newton and Auburn loses probably 3 games or Andrew Luck from Stanford and they lose a couple more. RR only has had two full recruiting classes with this being his third.
December 23rd, 2010 at 8:41 PM ^
Are you aware that football teams are made up of more than one player?
December 23rd, 2010 at 10:57 PM ^
Terrelle Pryor disagrees with you.
December 23rd, 2010 at 10:03 PM ^
Recruited denard and the other players that made denard look great
<br>
December 24th, 2010 at 6:06 AM ^
stupidity runs rampant. What happens to almost every team when you take away the star player?
Is Auburn in the MNC game w/o Newton? Is Oregon there w/o James? Is Stanford even competitive minus Luck? Do the Buckeyes win the B10 w/o Pryor?
December 24th, 2010 at 3:09 PM ^
beyond your comprehension. The difference between good and bad teams who loss a star player is good teams overcome and still manage to win most of their games. There is not way in hell the present Michigan team can win half their games without Denard. Capice?
December 26th, 2010 at 6:23 PM ^
I reed good
December 23rd, 2010 at 11:45 PM ^
that PT is there for the taking in the near-term. That fact being said, I guess if I knew that I would play football forever I'd wouldn't value the Michigan experience & education. Sarcasm. I'm struggling with the coach thing vs. the school and their long-term future. Sorry, not thinking like a kid anymore.
December 24th, 2010 at 12:24 AM ^
Playing time is virtually assured.
That doesn't mean the tight ends will catch the ball much.
December 24th, 2010 at 8:48 AM ^
Good use of words considering how little our TEs actually caught the ball when it was thrown at them.
