Sam Webb Crystal Ball's 2022 5 Star OT Josh Conerly Jr. to Michigan

Conerly's 247 profile

Conerly is from the state of Washington and just visited for the game vs Washington. Webb entered a CB with a confidence level of 6 last night, following Steve Lorenz doing the same on Wednesday. Not sure what Conerly's timeline is but the main competition was thought to be USC and Washington, so fingers crossed this start progressing quickly on this front.

This is great! Really excited they are making the most out of the under the lights game. The atmosphere looked the best I’ve seen for a Michigan game.

I do have concerns of the passing game. I think both these things can be true. Good news is they have two weeks to try to work on the passing game and get some live reps. I believe we’ll need a passing game to win in Madison.

I loved how we mauled UW into submission last week, especially when they had some very solid DBs.

However, if we have a receiver problem with the talent that Gattis has assembled and is personally leading, then Gattis should start to spend some extra time on his interview skills.  He's basically the only coach on the team that has been able to acquire and develop his talent for the last 3 years.

I was one of those people who thought this game was almost a certain loss back before the season.

Looks like Michigan came out with two victories against Washington. Love it!

Yea Conerly has said signing day or All-America game. It is possible he silents earlier than that.

Kenneth Grant should be announcing by the end of the month, and Damani Dent will be announcing Oct. 10. Deone Walker supposedly may silent soon before announcing his choice later this year.

Hope he drops sooner than later. Recruiting is all about momentum…and everyone wants to play with the biggest guy on the block, opposed to against. Get em’ Jim and others will follow

Favorite non-pancake highlight: at the 1:15 mark of his junior season highlight reel, Conerly is combo blocking a DL with his LG. He then recognizes that another DL has been sent on a stunt outside of that block. He comes off his block to eliminate the stunting DL. +2.

can we wait until they actually Commit before we acknowledge them "crushing it" ?

2 games won against poor teams, the atmosphere was outstanding, possibly the best game day atmosphere for a night game ever.

But we haven't beat anyone yet as impressive as the last 2 games are we need to pump the breaks a bit.

If Michigan somehow lands Will Johnson, Domani Jackson, Walter Nolen, and Josh Conerly, are we comfortable saying that is the best recruiting class Michigan has ever had? Add in players like Kenneth Grant, Joshua Josephs. What a defensive class, followed by what I thought was our best offensive class in a long time.

It would probably be right up there with that '98 class (Henson, Terrell, Walker, Fargas, etc.), and that class was insane. Michigan had like 3 top 10 players and 5 top 25 players or something from that class.

I don't recall the last time Michigan pulled in 4, 5* prospects, but it probably would have been that one if the star ranking system existed then.

It's so crazy that when Harbaugh arrived, our o-line depth was atrocious, and our best player (Mason Cole) was playing tackle instead of center because we simply didn't have the dudes to let him play his natural position.  And now we're in a spot where we've reloaded since losing 4 or 5 guys off the same line to the NFL.  And we've got a 5 star tackle potentially committing on the horizon.  Gotta love the work this staff is doing right now
