Buckeyes might just lose at Wisconsin, PSU and at Michigan and we will see a full “lighten up Francis” moment.

We may even have him sing Raise me up at his banquet.

I am just going to go ahead and assume they are going to be undefeated when they come to Ann Arbor.  I don't think anyone really knows how good Notre Dame is, but that's not the easiest place to go on the road and win a game.  The Wisconsin game is going to come down to them being able to run the football and Fickle not getting too cute with his playcalling.  I do think Notre Dame exposed a lot of offensive deficiencies that the Buckeyes are going to have to try to overcome this year.  When was the last time OSU only scored 3 points in the first half?  Their TDs came on a long run by Henderson (which was a busted assignment by NDs LB) and then virtually the last play of the game.  There is no way a OSU fan can honestly tell you that they are not concerned with this offense.  It seems as if you shutdown Harrison, this offense is not explosive at all.  They also gave up 170+ yards on the ground to Notre Dame, so it would seem that is still their "least toughest" spot on the field.  You are welcome for my wording Ryan Day.  If you keep saying the word it must be true.  With all this being said, OSU does seem to figure out a way to beat the teams that are not at the same level as them.  Hopefully we can take care of business up to that last Saturday November then show Ryan Day what actual toughness looks like.  Go Blue!

4th and 1 jet sweep killed Day's whole "we're tough" narrative.

Day has bigger issues than toughness, like how many injuries will Marvin Harrison Jr. sustain before he finally calls it quits on the 2023 season. That was a close call Saturday night and I can imagine his handlers are wondering how much run blocking he wants him doing the rest of the season.

I can't find the clip but during the live broadcast, there was a point where the Buckeyes were all going crazy after they scored their final TD and you can see Harrison sitting on the bench with no emotion.  I just found that to be weird for a guy that is supposedly all in on the Buckeyes.  If they keep playing defenses that can bracket Harrison most of the time, he is not going to be a happy camper by seasons end.

One less obvious reason guys don't come back: The other teams key on you season-long and your viability dwindles, your liabilities are exposed. If we shut him down in the title game, how many places down the draft board does he fall? Who even cares to get caught up in such a miasma when you could just go play for money? With NFL players knocking each other down like dominoes?

A lot of the dynamics of college football look unsustainable at times.

No one is asking the tough question: What the fuck is Ryan Day doing sitting around on the Friday night before a game listening to the Pat McAfee show? McAfee's head must have exploded like the dude from Scanners when he heard that.

And who the hell is Pat MaAfee?  The dude showed up on my espn app out of nowhere. ESPN laid off a number of very well qualified analysts and sports journalists and replaced them with a joker.  This guy seems like his entire shtick is about getting ratings. Him, along with this mad dog idiot and Steven A, who helped create all this personality over sports journalism BS, are ruining sports.

You must be able to yell and interject loudly over your fellow show hosts these days if you want to make it in the business. That Mad Dog guy is essentially Skip Bayless without the cache, Stephen A. used to provide solely NBA commentary and for some reason ESPN let him discuss any sport involving a ball, and Pat McAfee I’m assuming was brought in to appease the Gen X crowd and younger.

Personally I stopped watching full ESPN talk shows around 2004/5 when the important clips made it to the internet and you didn’t have to listen to grown men acting like idiots for hours at a time.

And who the hell is Pat McAfee?

I'll tell you about the kind of guy Pat McAfee is. He's the kind of guy that would lay down his jacket over a puddle of mud just so you could walk on it. He's the kind of guy that would peel his jacket off anywhere. Anywhere in the world. If you had a puddle of mud, & he had a jacket, that is a perfect combination. Fuck the tank top, the tank top doesn't even matter.

He is exactly like every “kind of chubby” guy at the gym who thinks he’s ripped. I won’t listen to ESPN, I refuse, so can’t say anything about his skills as an analyst. I do know that every time I see him he looks like he lifts while watching (midnight at the Roxbury) with a jug of weight gain powder and that’s all I need to know.

I am concerned he may encounter a whole nursing home full of people that don’t share his opinion. Some might even wear blue!

Do buckeye fans celebrate Mothers Day with their Moms?

The horror….

The whole “we’re tough” mantra reeks of Ryan Day trying to convince himself of this assertion rather than everyone else.

He’s probably asked his wife if she thinks the team is tough and when she replies “it only matters what you think, dear” he goes back to eating his Trix cereal and reading the back of the box.
