Rutge?

Good athlete, can’t say that I blame him.
October 5th, 2019 at 12:06 PM ^
Real talk we should pick him up
October 5th, 2019 at 12:21 PM ^
We all know the coaches read this blog. How many up votes until they listen?

seconded

I guess I can't blame him. Another player that is basically out there for the Scarlet Knights, taking it on the chin nearly every play for so little return....

How is next year expected to be much better? Even with a new HC.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:53 PM ^
Think you missed the point. If he sits out, he can transfer and start next season without sitting a year (b/c he's only played 4 games this year so far).
October 5th, 2019 at 2:38 PM ^
I honestly don't understand people that think this kind of thing is smart or even neutral. It's quitting because your team is bad. Period.
October 5th, 2019 at 3:55 PM ^
Well, his coach was fired and so was his OC. Then they promoted basically a high school coach to be the head coach.
Id say Rutgers quit on this kid.
He sits out this year, and maybe RU hires Schiano or Moorehead and he stays. Or maybe they make their typical shit hire and the kid transfers.

They don't even deserve the -ger. They're just Rut to me now. I don't think it's too early to call this season an utter failure for them.
October 5th, 2019 at 12:53 PM ^
Their AD agrees with you.
October 5th, 2019 at 12:05 PM ^
I mean can u really blame him. The season is over. Come back next year
October 5th, 2019 at 12:18 PM ^
Amateur sports my ass
October 5th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
What's wrong about it?
October 5th, 2019 at 1:19 PM ^
Quitting in the middle of the season is BS.
October 5th, 2019 at 1:56 PM ^
Agree, but this is the can of worms that the transfer portal rules have opened up.
October 5th, 2019 at 4:31 PM ^
Did you say the same thing when coaches started collecting $5M salaries? $6M? $7M? $8M? $9M?
That’s when college athletics became more about business.
Coaches collect multi-million dollar salaries and have freedom of movement, but the kid is supposed to suck it up and sit out a year.
Fuck that.
October 5th, 2019 at 12:27 PM ^
This is a weird trend imo. People can say, "These guys have got to look out for themselves," which is true to an extent, but what if an entire offensive line decides they're going to stop playing?
October 5th, 2019 at 12:58 PM ^
Did the Rutger offensive line start playing?
October 5th, 2019 at 12:34 PM ^
Any way we can get him?
October 5th, 2019 at 1:23 PM ^
No. He ended up at Rut for a reason, and did nothing last week. So what that he had one play against Glasgow?
No thanks...
October 5th, 2019 at 1:23 PM ^
So maybe the players loved them some Chris Ash?
October 5th, 2019 at 1:25 PM ^
Rutgers tanking to get that number one pick.
October 5th, 2019 at 2:20 PM ^
Artur and Raheem heading for the transfer portal.
October 5th, 2019 at 3:21 PM ^
This is just bad for the game. Bad for teammates.
October 5th, 2019 at 7:08 PM ^
Does anyone think Rutgers may become more competitive once they start receiving a full B10 share? They were supposed receive a full share in 2021 but it seems it has been pushed to 2027.
