I don't understand why we even had someone(thaw) back there. I also don't understand why he tried to catch it on the 3 yard line. Why not let it bounce into the end zone? Even if they downed it at the one it was better than taking a chance on the muffed punt imho.
Does anyone else think it is grossly unfair that the SEC ACC only play 8 conference games while the other P5 teams play 9? I don't think many talk about this built in advantage. I don't understand why this issue has not been discussed by the people who make the playoff(unless I missed it?)
Like many of you I grew up watching Bob and his beauties on TPIR. I attended a tabping during Bob's last year. No I didn't get picked but I do have some interesting tidbits. The biggest thing is that the studio, stage, and size of the audience were TINY. The studio held about 100-120 people. The stage was probably 30' x 40' max with about 10' extra used for off camera things and behind the sliding doors(which was about 12 feet high.) Everything was wheeled on and off the stage and most of the game took up a big part of the stage. During the commercial breaks Bob would answer questions from the audience and also tell some stories about his years on the show. Also during these breaks they did drawings for the general audience where you could win $100. Overall it was a cool experience and Bob seemed like a nice guy even knowing some of the POS things he did to the beauties. I still can't believe that the show looks like it has such a large stage and studio when in fact is was SO small. Amazing what camera angles can do.
I find it interesting that some guy name Albert Hernstein set the record for rushing TD in 1902! With all the great backs we have had over the years I cannot believe that record still stands. Someone above said 26 would have rated first last year. Looking over most rushing TD in a season on https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/leaders/rush-td-player-season.html plenty of backs at other schools have obliterated that number. It also shows what a beast Barry Sanders was!
I met Brock a few years ago at a wedding in Tucson. He was a super nice guy with a good attitude. I asked him about Barwis and he said that while he was a great help in his early rehabilitation, there was another trainer/physical therapist who was much more instrumental to his recovery.

I did get a laugh when one of them said UM has never seen the 'power' of the 3-3-5 defense. I told them UM used to run that in the RR years and said it is a flawed defense imho. Considering they lost all three games perhaps I shouldn't go to any others in the future.

I never understood why he was moved to defense. He had a good year in 2021 and made quite a few clutch plays. I understand the WR room is loaded and talented but it just makes me wonder what the other wr are doing better than him.

I am old so my memory isn't the best.If that's not how it happened please refresh my memory? I also remember this year thinking a few times that whoever was responsible for moving him to D should be re-evaluated as a coach.
I have a story that is slightly different involving my best friend and his wife. We always joke and flirt around. I saw them at the store about 6 months ago. I went up behind her,covered her eyes, and said 'Why don't you dump this loser and come home with a real man.' You know where this is going. It was not them. The guy wanted to fight me and the girl was a bit shook. I was mortified and turned bright red. I mumbled an apology and slinked away. I will never do that again! Now every time I leave my friends house they say don't go up behind strange women and cover their eyes. One of my top three most embarrassing moments.
I don't get all the people who say nuclear power is clean. It most certainly is not! ALL of the worlds reactors are fission based. The used fuel rods stay dangerously radioactive for 10,000 - 50,000 years(or more.) Storing them is a huge concern. With the way language and writing change, how do you put warnings that people of the future could understand? They are still trying to figure that one out.
The only clean nuclear energy is Fusion based. It's the same thing how the sun produces energy. Unfortunately the challenges are huge and fusion technology is a long ways off.
I would hope one of them has the final say. I remember the Drevno(running coord) and Hamilton(passing coord) years. That didn't seem to work well. I am not sure if it was because of their talent level?
You have a season starting in late August and ending early February. Nearly a 6 month season. I think one of the biggest problems is for the athletes that play school. Finals are going on in December/January and then starting a new semester. Some teams would play way too many games.

I am with the group of people who don't think we have a chance.I would love to be surprised but I am where I am with the Lions. I gave up on them 25 years ago. Until UM get over the hump I do not believe they will/can win.

1) Both the offense and defense need to play their best game of the season by quite a bit.
2) OSU offense must play their worst game of the season,
3) Turnovers
4) The coaches have to come up with an amazing game plan. Plays and sets we haven't shown all year(still waiting for the pepcat throw), and few trick plays as well. One thing I know about Harbaugh is he likes consistency and does not like to take risks both which have to be thrown out of the window in this game. If we get a lead we need to keep firing and not go into a shell.
5) we need all questionable calls to go our way.
**Wild Card; Cade gets knocked out of the game and JJ comes in and pulls a Dwayne Haskins. This is basically the same as #1

If I had to guess I would give them a 5-10% of winning that game.
Until they win I will fully expect them to lose every year. I went to UM in the 90's when we would routinely beat them but now that OSU is on another level recruiting wise I think losing is the new norm with the occasional super lucky upset. I just hope we don't get jailsexed again.
I can't believe they have Cincinatti at #2. I get it, they are a good team, but I think they lose to most teams below them in the top 10. It will be interesting to see where they rank when the cfp poll is released. I know they have been discussed here already but why put them #2?
Overall pretty happy with the offense. The defense lost this game with a bit of help by the referees.
Thoughts:
1) Overturning the defensive score by hutchinson was messed up. I still haven't seen an angle that shows his 'shin' down where the ball is not coming out. I thought the knee had to be down to be considered 'down?' Does anyone think that overturning was correct?
2) Overturning of incomplete pass. I didn't see enough evidence to overturn the call of incomplete. The Forward view looked like it hit the ground. The side view was obscured by the opponents foot at the point when the bounce would happen. not nearly as bad as #1
3) You just can't let the rb score 5 td's. I get walker is a stud and very good but cmon. Also allowing 2 2point conversions. The D did do some nice things during the game though.
4) Red Zone FG vs TD. This is what it is. During the game I(and probably everyone else) had the thought that not scoring td's would come back to bite us in the game.
5) Lack of killer instinct/risk aversion by the coach. I support harbaugh but in today's game you need to sling it as often as possible(even if winning) to beat the better teams.I am reminded of the last Carr game where they opened up the offense and beat florida. Carr was the definition of risk aversion but to see what that team was capable of when they weren't hamstrung by old school coaching theory made me feel bad for the players. Harbaugh is the same and that is just who he is. I also get it that sometimes the old school theory makes sense in certain situations but you need to treat every possession like a game winning drive in today's game imho.
I must say the person who wrote, "He has more interceptions than TDs in his last 2 games" had me laughing pretty hard. Dude has one interception in his UM career but sure, that's a reason to pull him for the backup.
I am on the ride with Cade train. While he hasn't been spectacular he is much more accurate than Shea,Milton were and seems to take care of the ball better.I still have PTSD from the Alabama game where we had a few chances but Shea kept missing by 10 yards even on the short 'easy' throws.
I did have a problem with the 2 point conversion. IMHO the only time you should go for 2 is if you absolutely need it. MAYBE late in the fourth might be somewhat acceptable depending on the circumstances but not before then. That 1 point(assuming they made xp) would have forced N to have to get a TD rather than a FG to tie and force OT. Ultimately it didn't matter as we stopped them on 4th down. Happy we won and the team showed some spirit which has been sorely lacking for the last few years.

The absolute hottest game was in 2000 against UCLA. I was at the Rosebowl and it was 110 and sunny in the stands. I can only imagine what the on field temp was and remember being surprised that they were playing. Seemed dangerous as I was dying in the stands doing nothing. Lloyd had tried to postpone the game until later in the day but due to tv etc they couldn't.
I also have another story of UM in California as I was on the field for the 2004 USC Rosebowl. If I ever get to 100 points I'll post the story. Just saying it involves a song girl and an encounter with Jon Falk.
Best: 9th grade football. I was a track guy but played RB in 7,8th grade as I was by far the fastest kid on the team. In 9th grade I make the team and again was the fastest kid. The coach's son was my nemesis. He 'won' the starting rb spot even though I outperformed him in practice. I heard from others he told his dad some lies saying I was a bad kid etc. Because of this I would not play at all. I was the 3rd string rb. 3 games into the season(with his son sucking as usual) he gets knocked out of the game. 2nd string goes in and is also knocked out. First snap I get I take it to the house. 2nd time I got the ball I again score a td. I ended the day with 198 yards and 3td. I was then the starter for the rest of the season and my nemesis was relegated to 3rd string.
Worst: state championship.100meter hurdles. I was winning the race but clipped the last hurdle. ended up placing 5th
I must say that whoever is in charge of our strategy is lacking.
Nebraska an ally? They seem to keep taking many of our territories. They are now a huge threat.
We had 35 territories at one point far and away better than 2nd. We are now are tied for 2nd place with 19.
I tried joining the discord and did the automatic vetting but have not been given access(as far as I can tell.)
While I am sure this is not the case, it seems like they spread us too thin. With a week left we need to consolidate our power. Choose either west coast or east coast. Right now we have territories all over the place which to me does not make sense.
I understand that luck plays a part but it seems to me that we are all just attacking anywhere with no regard to long term goals. I am probably wrong as I have no idea of the thought process of our leaders.

The gutting of the middle class is due to Reagan and has continued for the last 40 years. His tax cuts for the uber rich along with current amounts of corporate welfare are what is causing the economic problems in the US.
Before those changes tax rates for the uber rich and very profitable companies used to be 70%- 90%. Rather than give this money to the government many companies gave it to the workers along with reinvesting in the company.
This is the reason that the most prosperous and profitable time in America coincided with high taxes on the very wealthy, low amounts of corporate welfare, and unions.

I am so sick of the SEC bias. Bama at #4 is ridiculous. They were blown out and only came back because of LSU prevent. Georgia at 5. Florida is highest ranked 2 loss team at 11.
They play 8 conf games and generally 4 cream puffs. The playoff committee seems to try to force the issue to get 2 SEC teams in if at all possible. If Georgia beats LSU in SEC champ game both teams will be in the top 4. If LSU wins out they(deservedly) and Bama will still be in the top 4.
If OSU and Minny meet in the B10 champ game with both being unbeaten, the loser will be ranked 5 or lower.
A 12-1 P12 champ Oregon is screwed as they will not jump a 11-1 non champ Bama.
I am hoping Baylor says unbeaten as that helps keep out a bit.
I seem to remember that once Harbaugh took over the players at the time (and maybe him) talked about how they used every second of the 4 hours practice time and that it was a huge change from Hoke who routinely only used about 2.5 hours or so. Something about 'you only get better at football by playing and practicing football."
If that is still the case then I would imagine they use every second allowable.

We had 35 territories at one point far and away better than 2nd. We are now are tied for 2nd place with 19.
I tried joining the discord and did the automatic vetting but have not been given access(as far as I can tell.)
While I am sure this is not the case, it seems like they spread us too thin. With a week left we need to consolidate our power. Choose either west coast or east coast. Right now we have territories all over the place which to me does not make sense.
I understand that luck plays a part but it seems to me that we are all just attacking anywhere with no regard to long term goals. I am probably wrong as I have no idea of the thought process of our leaders.
I will, of course, keep following my orders and hope for the best.
After watching this since last seaso I finally signed up. Hadn't before because I figured I might forget to submit turns consistently. Plenty of time now since I am off like many. Did first assignment!
I am as excited as the next man to see what McCaffrey can do. The BPONE in me pumps the brakes on that train of thought. New Olineman and QB will have some growing pains. If McCaffrey gets hurt we probably lose at least 4 games . Milton has shown nothing except that he can't hit the side of a barn. Mcnamara?
The gutting of the middle class is due to Reagan and has continued for the last 40 years. His tax cuts for the uber rich along with current amounts of corporate welfare are what is causing the economic problems in the US.
Before those changes tax rates for the uber rich and very profitable companies used to be 70%- 90%. Rather than give this money to the government many companies gave it to the workers along with reinvesting in the company.
This is the reason that the most prosperous and profitable time in America coincided with high taxes on the very wealthy, low amounts of corporate welfare, and unions.
It is pretty clear that "job creators" and "trickle down" has shown to be lies. With the latest round of tax cuts for the super rich it's going to get even worse.
America is doomed. I would be surprised if it is still here 100 years from now. At some point people are going to revolt. Just ask Marie Antoinette.
I am so sick of the SEC bias. Bama at #4 is ridiculous. They were blown out and only came back because of LSU prevent. Georgia at 5. Florida is highest ranked 2 loss team at 11.
They play 8 conf games and generally 4 cream puffs. The playoff committee seems to try to force the issue to get 2 SEC teams in if at all possible. If Georgia beats LSU in SEC champ game both teams will be in the top 4. If LSU wins out they(deservedly) and Bama will still be in the top 4.
If OSU and Minny meet in the B10 champ game with both being unbeaten, the loser will be ranked 5 or lower.
A 12-1 P12 champ Oregon is screwed as they will not jump a 11-1 non champ Bama.
I am hoping Baylor says unbeaten as that helps keep out a bit.
I seem to remember that once Harbaugh took over the players at the time (and maybe him) talked about how they used every second of the 4 hours practice time and that it was a huge change from Hoke who routinely only used about 2.5 hours or so. Something about 'you only get better at football by playing and practicing football."
If that is still the case then I would imagine they use every second allowable.
Anyone else remember this or is my old age catching up with me?
Does anyone think Rutgers may become more competitive once they start receiving a full B10 share? They were supposed receive a full share in 2021 but it seems it has been pushed to 2027.
