he was more focused on Meyer enabling a murderer and numerous criminal activities on campus at UF, and then scurrying away from the SEC when it was clear that Saban had overtaken him?  Maybe it wan't an OSU - PSU thing, but instead a father seeing Meyer as a scumbag used car salesman?

Perhaps the father is interested in the character of the man that leads the program at which his son will play, and maybe Frankilin is also not the ideal coach in terms of values that he wants leading his son?

That's fine. Be a dad about it though. Tell him that you're a minor and I won't allow Urban in my house, or allow you to take a visit there. Don't leave your son wondering what he did wrong for OSU to not offer him. That's spineless not to tell him.

FWIW the article ESPN wrote said it was rivalry related, but given their journalistic integrity you're right to take that with a grain of salt.

There was talk about Michigan pursuing him around the time of the AA game. It would be quite the recruiting job to flip him. A PA kid who's been committed since April. Only guard in their class. You would think the best time to flip him had passed.

I went to the last game we had in happy valley and the natives were getting restless. They used lots of words and they were elated to see me there with all maize and blue. I enjoyed most of it until they started threatening me.(oooh I was scared) Not. For the most part the fans were decent though. There's always one, that's my belief.

Vinny Gambini: It is possible that the two yutes...

Judge Chamberlain Haller: ...Ah, the two what? Uh... uh, what was that word?

Vinny Gambini: Uh... what word?

Judge Chamberlain Haller: Two what?

Vinny Gambini: What?

Judge Chamberlain Haller: Uh... did you say 'yutes'?

Vinny Gambini: Yeah, two yutes.

Judge Chamberlain Haller: What is a yute?

Vinny Gambini: [beat] Oh, excuse me, your honor...

[exaggerated]

Vinny Gambini: Two YOUTHS.

way back in the day my cousin who was at PSU as a student got tickets to the game at beaver stadium vs michigan for me for christmas. As a middle schooler sitting in the student section in my michigan gear seemed like a terrible idea. but the shit storm came before the game walking around in a michigan hoodie. People were throwing beer bottles and swearing like crzay at me like I had just kicked their dog. this was also before the whole sandusky thing too

All of that cheating by the refs on our behalf, the extra seconds we got in 2005, beating them nine straight times when if we had any decency we would have let them win out of respect for Joe Paterno's legacy, stealing Chad Henne from them, our stubborn refusal to enable a child molester for decades and lie about it...

Clearly we have a lot to answer for.
