Preseason coaches poll
Good. This team doesn't deserve to be ranked high like years past because they were Michigan. Hopefully they have a chip now and want to prove people wrong.
I'm in that same boat. Everyone on the team has been talking about working to bring Michigan back to the top and starting out ranked after 15 total wins the last two years would have been completely unearned.
First thoght for me, too.
Good, good.

I'm on a tablet, so I can't tell if I did that right. Anyone?
but not embedded. But on a similar thought of what you guys are talking about, I'm fine with the lower ranking, I just hope that they don't go 4-0 in the OOC games and end up in the top 15 or so. I want to see them win some conf games before they start getting recognition.
Good, now after we house App. State we can go into South Bend unranked and "upset" a number 16 Notre Dame
And then follows the annual tradition of over-ranking Michigan for beating an overrated ND team!
Don't forget the September Heisman accolades as well!
ND being ranked too high.
about us. In fact, a colleague of mine, an English professor at the U of Alabama, used to tease me by never uttering the words Michigan without first saying "perennially over-ranked." I'm glad everyone is back on the Brady train and going hurhur Michigan again, but I'll believe we're getting anywhere when I see it.
maybe #32 speaks for itself. The koolaid drinkers are out in force here this week. But if they're lying around the jungle groaning and in their death throes calling for Hoke's head by mid-season I also won't be surprised. The fascinating thing is that you can just pour a little more koolaid on them a couple of months later and they are reconstituted.
I think we're #32. Maybe you didn't see TCU since it was so small.
and I think we all agree that it should be this way and we want it this way. Get the team hungry.
Hail!
outside the top 25 ever end up in the the top 4??
Auburn last year, I believe.
Mizzou was ranked 4th or 5th I believe going into the SEC Championship game after being unranked in preseason. It's definitely possible, but it would take a B1G Championship and 12-1 season to get into the Final Four.
I don't believe they started the season ranked either. .
Was not to ND, otherwise it would be proof that the B1G is weak.
Did they start the 2012 season unranked?
They were 24th in the media and 26th in the coaches I believe.
i think notre dame in 2012 did that
i took too long to respond, i see ppl beat me to it
auburn last year
There is hope.
B1G not getting much respect. I figured one of OSU or MSU would be in the Top 5.
I was somewhat expecting to see something like OSU 4th, MSU 6th, Nebraska 21st, Wisconsin 23rd, and Iowa 25th. It's a surprise to me to see only four teams ranked.
Have you seen the big ten the last several years? Their performances speak for themselves.
Don't see how anyone could be upset with our ranking. If anything, #32 might be a tad generous after last year.
Rather poor form on the part of the voters to not give us at least a gentleman's #22.
We suck again. Weren't we unranked in 2011? That was a good year
Gosh, I hope we win 9+ games. Otherwise #32 is too high.
Preseason rankings are irrelevant anyway. Win every week and all the other stuff will fall in line.
but that doesn't keep them from whining about a lack of respect:
autoplay nooooooooo!!!
Tell me about it. ESPN is really good at getting people in trouble at work.
Mods, please delete my comment with the video ASAP. Mea culpa x 1000
LOL - it scared the shit out of me
Utterly unsurprising. "Lack of respect" and the existence of the University of Michigan are seemingly all that keep them going much of the time.
The autoplay is awesome. A guy across the office from me yelled "Sparty sucks!" when he heard this video playing.
Is Adam Rittenberg really the best we can do?

They lost of the core of their defense. Their offense will be better. I was surprised how well their OL played last season. I hope Michigan can make a big turnaround on the OL? MSU just seems to play tougher football when they play against us, and we seemed to have lost that toughness since the RR era!
