Preferred opponent on Friday
Who would we rather face on Friday? It looks like a pretty even game between Tech and FSU right now but I guess I'd have to lean Tech since we've already seen and beat them (despite losses earlier in the season).
Any other factors come into play like bullpen fatigue, etc.
Florida State. Not even close.
You realize Michigan is 2-0 at this point after beating Tech and FSU. We would rather see FSU on Friday.
Not in a rude way, but we have also seen and beat FSU...for the sake of match ups, I think FSU may be preferred. They do not have the hitting prowess of Texas Tech and I think we comfortably win 2 of 3 against them.

To be fair, we beat them once and now just need to beat them a second time, so 2/3 is actually not wrong.

You figure we're now in TT's head. They swept us during the season, yet they needed to claw back to make game 1 close. FSU may be playing tight for the old man.

FSU and it ain’t even close. They have talent, but Texas Tech has a very good offense and I’d rather not risk facing them even though our starting pitching has been lights out

I would rather not face FSU. Their last game will be the last game for their manager. They will go down fighting to make sure that doesnt happen .

FSU on paper is worse than TT, Michigan has beaten them both but I’d take FSU in a rematch

FSU down 4-1. They have to score more runs this inning than they have in the entire cws up to this point
That’s the reason I want FSU. Their bats fell asleep, and we might have caught them before they wake up. But I do agree that Tech’s pitching arms must be a little more worn than ours.
Probably just that one reliever. But I expect both teams to go back to their #1 starters tomorrow. They will have had 5 full days rest. This would allow them to be available at least Wednesday and maybe Tuesday of the Championship series.
