Prayers to Rashan Gary

For those who may not be watching the Seattle vs Green Bay game, Gary went out with a gruesome arm injury. Hopefully the young man recovers fully and returns to Sunday’s in full force again!

I'm assuming you saw it & can provide a little more details for the board.  I'd guess you have a decent idea if you're talking about a broken bone, a torn ligament, a concussion, etc.  A bit more context would be great.

I saw it in real time and didn’t really notice anything. However, the announcers said they would not replay it because it was too gruesome. They related his arm was “twisted.” He was clearly in a lot of pain on the field and left the blue tent in tears. I hate to guess someone else’s health status, but he’s probably gonna be sidelined for a while.

I think just knowing the context of it being his arm tells us a lot, thanks.  And when you hear something twisting that usually indicates some sort of dislocation.  An arm is never as bad as a leg or even worse anything involving the spine or head.  Here's to hoping it looks worse than it is and a full and speedy recovery to Gary.  It was nice to see him beginning to blossom this year.

Packers called it an elbow injury and labeled him as Questionable to return. Someone on Twitter said he walked out of the medical tent with some skip in his step and was fist bumping teammates on his way to the locker room. Looked bad but initially sounds like it may not be as awful as it looked.

Dislocations can FEEL pretty gruesome too, at first. But when your shoulder pops back in, you're not even done screaming before you feel remarkably better.

I will always remember Brandon Inge for how calm he was when he dislocated his shoulder mid-play. Popped it back in *himself*, and made the next out without blinking. Dude was tough as nails.

Green Bay’s defense has been a big reason for their success. I don’t watch much nfl but last week and today’s shutout is something. Hope he’s playing soon.

Good God your title scared me. I mean, I wish him the best and and a speedy recovery and all, but usually when the prayers get whipped out it means someone's in bad shape. I was expecting some horrific spinal injury or a near-fatal car crash or a tragedy befalling one of his loved ones.

It sucks for him because he was beginning to play really well. Hopefully this doesn't affect his next contract with Green Bay being cheap-asses.

It may have been a dislocated elbow. He was not holding his arm like it was broken, so in the tent they must of  popped his elbow back in place. It will probably be sore for a while but he may be able to play next week or in a few weeks.
