Poor Damn Norfleet?

Submitted by Son of Lloyd Brady on
Including last year's kickoff return TD that was called back, it seems that Norfleet cannot catch a break. 2 special teams TD's, 2 called back for meaningless penalties. Is it time to start the Poor Damn Norfleet meme? I have a feeling Brian will be all for this.

Funny nobody was feeling sorry for him when fair caught the punt in the first half where he had 25 fucking yards wide open. great heart, quick but not fast.  OVERRATED.  But on this team he is fun to watch dance. How many punt return or kickoff td's does he have?

Every punt where the gunners are going to be right on top of him and crush him....unless they inexplicably pass by him 10 yars to either side?  Yes he should fair catch that every time.

Hopefully it shows up.  On a mac and I am old. Not good with websites.

Norfleet had 30 fucking yards of wide open space.  Gunners are in the 516 area code with two blockers each and no clear path.

If  you watch all the punts most of them they only had one guy on each gunner, this one they specifically had two on each gunner. IT was set up for a punt return.  Guarantee you Norfleet shit the bed.

He is amazing to watch, great attitude heart of a warrior.  He is an average punt/kick returner. This one could have been huge.  Watch the replay it is with about 2:50 left in first quarter. Announcer even comments on how much room he had.

his biggest achievement was being tweeted by some dude whose dance moves he used before running 30 yards for a 3 yard return.  that doesnt count for much

It wasn't too many years ago we were screaming, CATCH THE DAMN BALL.

Norfleet is so much better.

To hell with those who bad mouth Norfleet. So what he hasn't taken back any kicks/punts? Not many guys do. It's not easy trying to evade 11 guys when EVERYONE knows you're getting it. Dude still gives it his all. Michigan fans should be praising guys like him who still at least act like they give a shit.

People are just so dejected right now that they have a hard time seeing light in anything..  There's nothing wrong with Norfleet. This is a systmematic issue.

Your being negative.  We can't criticize players because it is all a love fest.  Sorry we expect results from players.

Yes they are poorly coached, yes they try hard, yes they work hard and are tremendous athletes compared to you and me.  But Norfleet has no touchdowns.  None. Zippo.

He is shifty.  But on the play I referenced he had a wide open middle of the field, nobody was there and he fair caught it.  It is only one example, but come out of the ether guys.  He is a tall midget on this football team.  10 years ago he would not play.

He's one of the only guys on offense or special teams (other than Gardner) who appears to consistently give a shit. Poor damn Fleet indeed.

Btw I'm pretty sure the reason he was all alone on the fair catch is that he called for it early and the gunners let up.

I deleted the recording after watching MD run the ball down our throat at end of game. But you bring up a fair point. I will watch the replay.  It actually may make sense, he had a totally wide open middle.  Maybe the gunners could have got him, But at first glance, I was pretty upset.

Cares about one thing and that is Norfleet. One of the biggest look at me players to ever wear the winged helmet. I guess it's passion when he returns the kickoff to about the 30 and he gets up and folds his arms like he just did the greatest thing ever on a football field.

I wonder if the new coach will put up with his antics?

So on here both Gardner and Norfleet are glorified. One is arguably the worst QB in Michigan history and the other holds a record while being one of the worst returners ever at Michigan.

I love Norfleet and his antics. He's having fun and he's excited to be out there. He's also one of our most exciting players. I don't understand why anybody would have a problem with him.
