That is why I wear athletic shoes only when at the gym. I have the first Air Jordan Michigan shoes and that is the only time I wear them. My only gripe with those shoes is the top of the back part. If I'm not wearing high enough socks, the material on the shoes really digs at my skin on the achilles heel. Eventually my skin gets rubbed too much and it bleeds. Poor design on Nike's part.

I couldn't wear them for that reason - the majority of the wear on my shoes is classic for people who overpronate - heel and forefoot wear - so those shoes would probably kill my feet. On the upside, I am proud of my extremely flexible feet, a feature which is fairly common in those who overpronate as well.

FTR, someone downvoted you and it wasn't me.

I know they say flat feet are over pronated. When I went to Running Fit to be fitted for shoes, I was told I have flat feet and basically no arches but I still have the most wear on the outside of my shoes. For that reason, I was forcing myself to walk on the inside of my feet. I had no idea what that was doing to my feet. I actually ended up returning the shoes and going to a podiatrist who also had no idea why my feet hurt so bad. I ended figuring out on my own and retrained myself to walk on the outside of my feet again.

Now I get shoes from Running Shoe Warehouse. They are online, cheaper, have 90 day free returns, have all of their shoes organized by pronation-supination-neutral walking and free shipping.

Never understood people's desperate need to criticize butterfly/kipping pull-ups.  They aren't intended to be strict.  They're intended to allow for efficiency and endurance in a workout in which pull-ups are only one component.
