Might be a little early to coin this term, but I foresee a future in which calls for Michigan backup QBs are quantified in terms of the "Peters to Morris scale" of reasonableness.

BP looks like a step up already. JOK was struggling.
Much better touch on the football.

Nope. Some of us have been taking beating on here calling for him while everyone else berated us for questioning JH.
Looks pretty decent to me.

Yes, it's Rutgers, and JOK looked like shit when he was in there. BP is already an improvement.

If Peters ends up passing 2ypa people will assuredly be calling for McCaffrey.

There is a difference between wanting to see what a young guy does and what a 5th year senior is doing.
Also, DM is redshirting so almost no chance of seeing that.
Peters will get the benefit of the doubt from most becuase he is the exciting talented new guy.

Peters has looked great on his first two drives, but the massive Rutgers caveat applies.
October 28th, 2017 at 1:32 PM ^
There's no caveat. Both QBs played in this same game. It's not like only Peters played. Both played and one played better.
October 28th, 2017 at 1:42 PM ^
How are people missing this point? Yes, Peters looked good "against Rutgers" on two drives. However, JOK looked like absolute garbage "against Rutgers" for 1.5 quarters.

Against sparty, just maybe... that was a WHOLE LOT of picks JOK threw!

The short answer is yes. We would have had a better shot of beating MSU.

They simplified it plenty for O'Korn and he wasn't doing shit. You think they were calling harder throws midway trhough the second quarter for O'Korn with the way the guy has been playing?
O'Korn seems to have gotten lucky with his reads against Purdue. Peters may just be getting lucky here. I don't believe for a second it has to do with the play calling though.
