Appears to be confirmed. Unclear exactly what role.

He was a really good player for Baltimore. Should help in recruiting etc as well I imagine

It doesn't look like he has any related off field experience. l looked at a few sites (including Wikipedia) and none mentioned anything after his last pro on field season (2021). He's supposed to have a great personality and probably will make rapid progress  but it's hard to believe that he could be expected to go straight to such a high position. Of course, if they let Scruggs go we'll have a real problem finding a top quality line coach at this time.

I mean … he screwed up badly enough. Lucky he didn’t kill someone that night. That high level a position with that much visibility making that much money …. just leave your car and fucking Uber

I sure M has a system in place … dial a pager number (monitored by a bored grad student or undergrad) while in an Uber and when you wake up in the morning, your car is in your driveway. And if M doesn’t have this in place, what the fuck are they doing

I totally agree. But Humans aren't very rational and behaviour is incredibly difficult to change / modify. It is so odd how many people who are rich and famous make mistakes, and how often we all collectively think, "if I had her/his money, I wouldn't ever do x" and yet time and time again they do. I am willing to bet that if you grew up never driving while intoxicated, then if you became Uber wealthy you also wouldn't. If you grew up and didn't use Uber or your phone for all of these options, you might, in the midst of a pretty bad day or state of less than ideal mental acuity, just take the simplest or your default decision and drive.

Now for the disclaimer, I find what he did incredibly selfish, even lazy, and he should be punished. I also can't fathom the pride, frugality and Idiocracy involved in making such a terrible and risky decisions. My initial reaction was, "well he gone".  I am, however, saying that our assumptions of wealth and behavior (as this also related to a precious post with comments on Juwan and his children being on scholarship) are assumptions and might actually be quite far away from the truth.

Only a few years removed from the pros, he should be hungary for coaching challenges at either college or pro level.  His mentors see his ambition and tell him to go get some seasoning at Michigan.  We are incredibly blessed with the shared relationship between the Ravens and Michigan.  While it, of course, started with Jim and John, the two organizations help each other.  Welcome aboard, Pernell!

Seems like a good addition... Although it still stings that Harbaugh and others left, I am feeling pretty good about this staff on paper at least.
