Peppers can kick FGs, punt and snap

Jabrill Peppers "I can actually kick a field goal". Said probably a 20-yarder

Peppers says he can punt and long snap, too. ... In case you were worried.

Imagine that FG fake.

If you are going to do that idea you do it with a qb who actually is used to a shotgun snap. And it makes the D have to be honest to defend the pass. You don't do it with a guy who prob has taken 0 long snaps in practice. And defense will have ears pinned to rush.

Kicked a 47 yarder as a 12 year old. Kicking FG's really is not as hard as some make it seem. The toughest part about kicking is when the ball is on the hashes, and even then it's only a matter of muscle memory. Jabrill is being modest, a 20 yard FG is easy. I bet Jabrill could make a 40 yarder with any practice.

I came in third place with a bunch of drunk people watching at some bar where they did field goal competitions during halftime.  I think I plunked one in from about 40-45 yards.  It would have hit a lineman in the neck, but damned if I didn't put them through consistently until it was bumped back.  Although I was a goalkeeper through college, so I do have a leg.

But yeah, 47 yard field goal as a 12 year old.  I call bullshit.  It's tempting to believe something a random internet person says, but I elect not to.

The most humorous thing about this blog is by far the number of keyboard coaches and keyboard athletes that think they have all the answers. The information age-- creating one know it all after another without producing many do-it-alls. The reason kicking looks difficult, and they are paid well is because NO ONE says, "Mom I want to play kicker". There is an extremely limited pool to choose from. Many D1 kickers have NO business being on scholarship based on the results they produce. Typically, most kickers are soccer players, rugby players or athletes that play multiple positions. If more people realized how much $ is involved in kicking at a high level they would be out back practicing right now.
