I truthfully follow college basketball far more than the NBA. Anyone want to comment whether or not this is over/under his expected production? Either way, I'm glad to see Nik finding some success in the NBA.

I would say just about average. The superstars (Durant, Melo, Kobe, LBJ) score over 20 a game pretty much every game. So a 12 point outing is good for a sixth man. However if he wanted to start at shooting guard, he would have to put up over 15 consistently.

Yeah, 12 points in 26 minutes is acutally a pretty good start for him.  That projects out to 18 points if he played 40 minutes.  50% from the floor, 40% from 3.  Solid start for him coming off the bench.

The only issue was his 4 turnovers.  He'll have to get a handle on that.  Looks like he might have had some foul issues as well (4) though I don't know if he picked them up early or late.

It looks like Nik was in the game at crunch-time and did deliver a lapup in the 4th but also misfired on a few other critical shots, most notably a 3 with 2:32 left that would have put the Kings up 5.  It looks like Sacramento went with him down the stretch though, which is a good sign that they feel comfortable going with him in high pressure situations already.

This is Stauskas news, not NBA news. An off-topic NBA thread would be about the Pistons with maybe a mention of "they should've drafted Stauskas!" This is ON Topic in my book.

Tigers? Off topic. Red Wings? Off topic. Pistons? Off topic. Burke, Stauskas, GRIII, THJr, Denard, Henne, Long? All on topic, as long as they are the topic and not tangential to the primary topic.

Thought Stauskas looked pretty good in his first outing with the team. Seemed comfortable except for a few bad shots either late in the shot clock or in desperation as the team tried to keep pace scoring with the Raptors. Saw that the Kings went into a zone defense a lot with him in the game, maybe to give him some help on the defensive end as Toronto started to drive to the basket on him late in the game. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses on both ends of the floor.
