OT: Why MC Hammer won't make a new album and other stupid thoughts

Submitted by Darker Blue on

I tought nobody could touch him? I miss the baggy pants. Its a sad day when you wake up and realize those pants aren't cool anymore.

Also whats up with all of the hipster pages on facebook. I can't even interact with people I know anymore without seeing some stupid picture pop up all over my newsfeed.

Also I want to have a late breakfast but I'm not sure if I should have bourbon, beer or just get an 8 ball of blow and some hookers. HELP ME MGOBLOG.

(If you can't tell I'm bored as fuck, I'm looking for you to help me kill time. I accept all of your negs with love)

  1. He's not famous anymore.  See also the "MC Hammer: Behind the Music" - its one of the better episodes.
  2. I'm too old to have hipster friends.  My friends post pictures of their kids.  You choose.
  3. I predict you'll settle for cereal.

I appreciate your honest and forthright headline- these are indeed stupid thoughts.  No one can claim they were misled; only deadened, slightly.

In Ferris Bueller's Day Off, when he speaks with Sloane Peterson and says his little bit about "between grief and nothing . . . I'll take grief."  I had always found that part odd, I mean, I'd prefer a neutral feeling over a negative one.  But with this "all your negs are belong to me" thread, I can tell you're choosing feeling something over nothing.  Whatever that something may be.  As someone who is currently stuck in a rut of existential angst, I fully appreciate what you are doing.

FWIW, I agree with CRISPed.  Go with cereal.  Then at some point later today,  you can go nuts with debaucherous intake and you'll have more endurance.  The last thing you want to do is pass out before noon.

I have found existential angst typically results from the search or desire for control of things that seem or apeear to be in your control that actually are not.  It is not the search for meaning that does not exist, but the desire for control of things that are out of your hands.  You are a peice on a chess board, a very very small part of a plan of which you did not conceive nor do you have any say in.  So, drink a beer, get extra cheese on your pizza, stop watching the clock  and always hit driver.  Everything will go according to plan, it is just not your plan.

and completely agree with you.  I guess it helps to hear that sentiment repeated sometimes.  I remember hearing an analogy once where the universe was compared to a river.  If you a see a fork, try to swim to the branch that looks more interesting.  If you see something on either bank that you find stimulating, there is nothing wrong with acting assertively to get closer.  Just don't bother trying to swim upstream, the river is flowing in that direction for a reason.

Oh good I'm not the only one annoyed by those hipster "like if you remember this! "pages that keep popping up. I report every single one I see. I see myself like Eric Cartman rounding up all the hippies, except I'm sure nothing happens when I report them.

I thought Hammer was busy managing MMA fighters and an Internet venture or two, or at least that's what I heard last. I also thought he released some new tracks last year, but music certainly doesn't seem to be the focus anymore. I think he owned (maybe still does) a Thoroughbred stable too. I have to say, the man keeps himself engaged somehow.

I live in MICHIGAN and with the Medical Marijuanna laws in place, I've found there is a much better selection of pot. Of course this weed is way more expensive, but holy chips is it good.

A. Those pants were never cool, and even if they were, you would have had to been asleep for like 20 years to have just realized they were no longer cool.

B. Hammer's biggest hit is just a rip off from Rick James's "Super Freak"

C. Those pants were never cool, and even if they were, you would have had to been asleep for like 20 years to have just awakened and realized they were no longer cool.

(This is not a repeat of A.  You're just high and think it's a repeat.)

You think you're bored? This is my second post with a cat picture on the day and it's not even noon.

*sigh* offseason sucks.

MC had a very unique sound for the time it came out.  He used to come to the club I bounced at when I was in grad school in Socal.  Nice guy, low key, and in case you couldn't tell, a little tiny fella.  And at the time, my, he had some hotties with him.

As for your breakfast, I recommend exercise and then something with protein.  That same club I worked at in grad school had too many people that were into your proposed alkaline breakfast spread.  They were a mess then, and I can only imagine the pathetic shape they are in now...
