My team doesn't have a pick tomorrow, thanks to Our Dear Leader Goodell.

I don't watch the draft because it's boring as can be. Plus I can get a notification on my phone to tell me who the Pats draft. That's all I need.
I just hope Goodell falls off the stage and breaks his dick off.
Pats fan here too.. Even without a 1st rounder I'm looking forward to the draft. With their day 2 picks I'd like to see them go with Karl Joseph or Vonn Bell and perhaps a replacement for Chandler Jones.. A guy I really want to see them add is Cyrus Jones, day 3 or later. Multi-'position' guy (defense and special teams).

I'm really hoping for Kenneth Dixon in the 2nd round. I think he might end up having the best career of any RB in the draft (Elliot is a monster but he draws too much contact, he'll be cooked in 6 years), he seems like a great dude, and he is a perfect fit for the offense. They can flex him out or run him between the tackles. I know he is a lot like Dion Lewis, but I do not trust Lewis' knee. I'd like Paul Perkins in this spot as well, as more of a traditional, down-hill back.
Obviously I'd also love it if, by some miracle, Sterling Sheperd fell all the way to the mid-second round. I think Cyrus Jones is a great fit too. I also really like Nick Kwiatkowski in the middle, especially with Mayo's retirement. Seems like every year we have mass LB injuries and this kid can play.
I want them to trade with either the Dolphins or the Titans out of the 8 slot and then pick up LaQuon Treadwell (everybody remember him?) and another 2nd round pick either this year or next.
And then trade back into the latter half of the 1st round and get Paxton Lynch or sit tight at 32 and take Cook. We come out of the draft with that and I'll be happy.
We'll still lose a shit-ton of games.....but I'll be happy until the regular season starts.
NFL draft day in Cleveland = Super Bowl Sunday for everybody else.
Isn't Lynch going 1 or 2 overall?
Goff & Wentz are going 1-2.
Good topic OP BTW.
No, Goff is going to go #1 to the Rams and Wentz is going #2 to the Eagles.
EDIT: Beat me to it.
You can do better than Treadwell at WR. Coleman, Doctson, Fuller, Sheperd, Caroo, etc. Treadwell is not a first round talent, to me.
True. Or at least not a high-to-mid first rounder. I think PFF's analysis on him is pretty convincing.
He's very slow for a WR. Did he limp the 40?
He is slow, but he's not a speed WR so it shouldn't matter.. He's got good hands and runs routes well. That said he shouldn't be the first WR off the board, plenty of better options.
Antonio Brown didn't run a great 40....how's that working out for the Steelers?

I'd also be ok with trading Joe Thomas, staying at 8 and taking Stanley. I really like Shaq Lawson too.
We are going absolutely nowhere this year and Thomas has earned it.
I would like Nkemdiche at 32 as a 3/4 DE, but I don't think I could handle taking another chance on players with character issues.

Some of my best friends are Browns fans and I can't for the life of me think of why any of you have hope for anything but an abject failure from the Browns front office no matter who's in charge. Sorry, I hope they prove me wrong at some point because they have a lot of loyal fans who deserve to root for a respectable team.
When that happens, and it will, I'll know deep down that I never left. Your smugness and pity is noted though, next time feel free to keep it to yourself.
+1 for admitting to being a Browns fan
I personally prefer Doctson over Treadwell, but I agree that trading down is the move if possible. UNLESS Myles Jack is available at 8. But I don't see that happening.
I like Kevin Hogan if they're targeting a QB later on. I don't see Lynch or Cook being a starter worthy of a second round pick.
But his throwing mechanics are so terrible I just don't know. His delivery takes forever and the ball almost reaches his waist before he brings it back up.
I know all the guys with this problem work on their mechanics and they unveil a brand new delivery for scouts before the draft. But when they're under pressure they will always revert back to what they know.
I have my concerns as well but hoped that Hue Jackson could work his magic on a kid with great raw tools.
have faith in kevin costner
i see the talent, but am i the only one who sees the words 'character issues!!', and that will only be made worse when he goes from ole miss payroll to the big time payroll?
EDIT: how did this drop 15 comments? it was in response to mgrowold's post. thanks drupal.
Smh...people took that IG post way too far. He'll be fine if he were going to be a headache the football higher ups would've leaked it by now

jamarcus russel, and countless others?
Treadwell would be fine but (I hate to say this), Zeke Elliot would be better. Granted he may be gone Before #8. As for trading back into the first to get lynch, that gives me nightmares (their names are Quinn, Weedon and Manziel) of doing just that, in the past.

Likely will be another infamous day for the Factory of Sadness
Chargers pick at three. I'd be happiest with J Ramsey, the DB from FSU, I think. But I'd be happy with Laremy Tunsil, DeForest Buckner, or our old friend Joey Bosa. As long as we don't get some AJ Smith style pick that makes no sense to anyone else. You know, because the pick sucks.
I know one guy I don't want the Skins to pick - Vernon Hargreaves.
We all saw why....
A'Shawn Robinson for Washington NFL franchise. Run D was atrocious last year, please yes to large and fast man.
It's the Lions, so the choice is pretty much down to either a WR or a TE. I guess I'd have to say Treadwell if he's available, Fuller if he's not.
Don't forget a DT or an interior offensive lineman

Although it is the Lions and they may very well not do this, I would rather they would on these two units as well in the opening rounds. In the middle rounds, a corner and maybe a backup QB as well or a serviceable TE or RB if there is one around. I admit to some trepidation about the draft because that seems to be part of a Lions fan's makeup, but I am more than willing to give Quinn a shot here to get it at least mostly right (it will take a few drafts of getting it "mostly right", mind you)
No way.
OT - Tunsil, Stanley, Decker, Conklin if any are there
If not? Ragland
WR or TE are the most stupid positions to pick in round 1. Just terrible.
Please, not Johnny Manziel or Brady Quinn! Please...please...please!!!
OSU player will get drafted by the Lions...and his career will be ruined by the Lions. Take that as you will.
Buffalo: Nkemdiche tomorrow, Jake Rudock a few days later
Would like to see the Packers get one of those big DTs (Billings, Reed, or Robinson) on the board at 27. Ragland would be great too but probably a bit of a pipe dream. Or you know, if they want to save a d line pick for a little later, I wouldn't mind seeing them take Henry. I was pumped when they drafted Jake Ryan, so this would be kinda like that.
As a Bears fan, I really hope Floyd from Georiga drops to us, other than that, I would be okay with Shaq lawson. I also hope Jordan Howard is around in the Third, after watching him destroy UofM last year, would like to see that from the other side of things.
I'm also a Bears fan and all I want is a replacement for Cutler. The bad news is there's not a lot of top talent to choose from, but the good news is we could always pick up Rudock in a late round.

None of the QBs after Wentz and Goff will have better careers than Cutler. Rudock was a good college QB, but he is not a NFL starter, not for the next grew years.
Zeke Elliott, Buckner, Floyd, Lawson, Reed, Darron Lee, Staley, Apple...in that order minus Lawson/ Floyd 50/50.
I'd put Jack ahead of all of them if he falls due to concerns about his knee. Casserly projects Jack will fall to 17, so that would be great for Bears to snag him at 11, with he depth we have at LB after our signings.
I will gladly welcome Willie Henry to the Raider Nation. I hope this prediction comes true.

...fell to the Vikes at #23, I'd be ecstatic.
Vikes would probably need to trade into top-10 for that dude.
LaQuan Treadwell? He isn't even the first WR coming off most guys boards. There's a really good chance he's there at 20.
The Baylor WR has a better chance to go in the top 15 than Treadwell.
Treadwell SHOULD be there. He is a second round talent that is, for God knows what reason, getting top 10 hype.
He is getting plenty of hype for some reason. I believe I saw a mock draft where he went either 8 or 9 but I cannot find it at the moment.
Probably cuz you're drinking too much Johnny Walker Blue
