The competitor's college football games back before EA bought the exclusive license were BAD.

You had 989 Sports' NCAA Gamebreaker and NCAA 2K3 by 2K Sports (then Visual Concepts) and both were pieces of shit that couldn't compare to EA's game.

I have every college football game ever made, and the non-EA games are second-rate.

All sports games on 7th gen systems weren't good IMO.

They favored graphics over gameplay. NCAA on the PS2 was faced-paced and hard hitting. It looked like they were playing on a tennis court, but no one cared. NCAA 06 may be the greatest sports game EVER.

I was already in my late 20s when the Dynasty modes were introduced and since I didn't have time to invest in that aspect which was far superior in the EA versions, I always found 2k's football engine was far superior to EAs.

On the other hand if we never had EA's crazy unrealistic football, I guess real players

would never put up "videogame numbers".

NFL2k was always far superior to EA. But the only made one NCAA 2k game and it was horrible. Used the previous years NFL gameplay engine with a horrible option engine tacked on. Presentation didn't feel at all like the NCAA games. I loved the 2k games, but that one was dreadful.

just kids in general.  My 9 year old spent the spring and summer playing baseball and we just signed up for fall.  A lot of exercise, hanging with the other boys, swimming at the pool.  He asks me to play catch and work on his batting.  I'm sure my kid is not unique because I see other kids in the neighborhood playing street hockey, basketball, and frisbee.  From elementary to high school.

the kids are outside all the time unless we are schooling them.   we don't have any video games nor do we even have TV except for a few months of the year which understandably corresponds with michigan's football season - then TV is unplugged until the next fall.

outdoor sports, organized sports, projects, and lots of work around the farm.  and if you ever watch TV closely for a few minutes, especially kid shows, don't be surprised that your children aren't listening to you.   most every program has as part of it's plot or humor the unreasonable, foolish, and/or evil parent who is to be disobeyed and ridiculed.

My son and I had one of those great father-son talks in the garage this afternoon.  We were talking about his friends and how some of them are already making poor decisions.  He just graduated high school in June.

He said, for the most part, the ones that are making those poor decisions are the ones who have always had everything handed to them.  If Graham wanted something he would either hit the trust fund or get it from one of his rich relatives.  Same with another couple of them.

He said, "You and mom gave me things but I always had to work for them.  I understand hard work now but they have never had to work hard for anything.  If they did work hard it's because it was something they wanted to do not something they didn't want to do but had to."

He is beginning to understand we weren't just mean parents and I think your kids are going to appreciate everything as well.

and don't ask me how or why, but it made a life long impression on me even though it was a science/biology film. the film was a time lapse of two eggs hatching.  one bird was left to peck it's way out of the shell, bit by struggling bit.  mission accomplished and it dried itself off, was up and about, etc.

the other bird, the minute it's beak made a whole in the shell was immediately peeled out of it's shell by the attending scientist.  during the same time period when bird one (no help, pecked its way out) was rambling around, bird two who had all the assistance was still helplessly flopping about, barely able to stand.

there was a lesson there i never forgot.

Once again, your ignorance in regards to my life outside of what I post in this comment box is showing.

You know nothing about me or what I've been up to lately, but it's amusing when you make assumptions as you usually do.

Not shocking at all that the busy thing went right over your head.

ugh

I cannot stand this argument about video games.

"GO OUTSIDE! GET OFF MY LAWN!"

Sir, it's 2015 and electronics are a hit. There is nothing wrong with playing video games. There is also not difference between watchingting TV and playing video games. At least with video games, you're involved and part of the story.
