Hawaii is the "trendy underdog" for the public this weekend. Never a good sign. Also, watching Hawaii/Cal, Hawaii is absolutely awful in every facet. Factor in they are traveling from half way across the world. Not being a homer but I think we are about to absolutely curb stomp the poor Rainbows. And remember Harbaugh is no Lloyd, he's not calling off the dogs up 28. I think we win 55-7.

Step into a Vegas casino, walk up to the sports bet window, lay down $100 and say "$100 on Michigan, I'll take the higher".  Be prepared for the expression of a lifetime.

We have some injuries and some guys who put themselves above the team. It'll be a blowout but it won't be 40 points.

Some rumors guys will be suspended for the first game, or at least part of it. Some hints were dropped that it was Peppers and possibly ~3 other guys. Someone said they snuck out after curfew, maybe got into bar fight.

None of it is confirmed, but stuff like this usually has some truth to it.

Hawaii playing an extra game helps them keep it closer than it should be. The most points they scored in any game last year was 49 (Rutgers), that combined with a new qb has me believe they score in the high 30's. I'm going with 38-3 and the under.

I got over, I think he's going to want to give JOK some meaningful snaps in the second half. He hasn't played in 2 years and he just lost the QB race he was the favorite for. I think Jim wants to give his backup some confidence.

Spreads like this are generally just so uncertain, since it depends so much on how fast Michigan would get out to a big lead.

There are plenty of other games to take action on this weekend. I'd suggest you do that.

While we won many games handily last year we only scored 41 points twice and the coaching staff seemed to slow things down in the 2nd half when we had 4 TD leads.

We won't cover. And obviously not because the game won't be completely one-sided all the way through, which it will.

But yeah, that's a LOT of points. And we're not gonna run it up on them, nor will we keep the starters in the entire time. Hawaii will get garbage points in the 4th quarter.

WTF is "over"?   Over/under is on total points - no such thing as an "over" bet when you're betting point spreads.

That being said I'll take Michigan and lay the points.  56-7 good guys.

I'd love to think we beat Hawaii by 40, but I really think it will be under that. First game, new QB, likely vanilla offense, and no need to run up the score makes me think that it will be a 21 point or so win. That won't make a lot of people happy, but I don't think we are gonna see the best week 1. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, just my guess.

Yet i still think UM bludgeons them with the run game and stout defense. I'd say your OL pounds them all day long. they'll keep it respectable for the 1st half, say 24-0 @ the half. then your backups will play hard in the 2nd half and put up another 21. hawaii scores twice on broken plays. 45-14
