OT: Thursday NFL Thread
Giants at Eagles tonight, a battle of bad teams. But they have plenty of company this season.
The Cowboys, who got their asses handed to them by the Cardinals on MNF, are 2-4 ... and they're currently in
sole possession of 1st place in the NFC Least!
Ten teams have less than 2 wins, which has never happened before this far into the season since the merger:
Eagles (1-4-1)
Bengals (1-4-1)
Chargers (1-4)
Giants (1-5)
WFT (1-5)
Texans (1-5)
Jaguars (1-5)
Falcons (1-5)
Vikings (1-5)
Jets (0-6)
Way to go. Your mamas must be so proud.
And surprisingly, the Lions are not on this list. Or perhaps it's not surprising that they can't even tank properly.

There is also CFB tonight in ESPN
Arkansas St vs Appalachian St
I've never heard of an Appalachian State? Who the fuck are they?

They made a horror movie once. A really scary horrible movie.

Of course the Lions play these teams 6 times and will go 8-8, the idiot Ford's will posture that Pillsbury is making progress and retain him all the while claiming a 20 something pick in the NFL draft because of their stellar .500 record.

I am starting the NYG D/ST this week in fantasy. Hoping for an absolute turd, 7-0 win on a blocked punt type game.
October 22nd, 2020 at 7:42 PM ^
Same except hoping for the opposite with Philly's D. Actually, I'm thinking a 6-6 tie where both teams score their points on a turnover and then miss the PAT, thus not allowing any points on defense. Yeah.

I'll take Trump and the points...
...wait, what was the question again?

Well he is your horse

Going to need to get into the proper mood for Giants-Eagles:

the doc only told you to lay off booze, right?
October 22nd, 2020 at 8:30 PM ^
Woo hoo yay go Giants. At least we're not Jets fans!!
October 22nd, 2020 at 8:31 PM ^
The Giants are ass.
October 22nd, 2020 at 8:44 PM ^
Brandon Graham still going strong. This is, what, year 12 for him?
October 22nd, 2020 at 10:02 PM ^
Where's Magnus to answer your question?
October 22nd, 2020 at 8:45 PM ^
Washington having the abbreviation "WFT" is very fitting

Jabrill with the sack!

It’s entirely possible that the winner of this division ends up with a 6-10 record and ends up hosting an 11-5 NFC West team.
Seems like at least once every 2-3 years the winner of the NFC East can’t do any better than 8-8 or 9-7.
October 22nd, 2020 at 9:04 PM ^
I didn't realize the NFC East was this bad. Should've known since the Lions went 2-2 against the division last year (1-10-1 rest of NFL).
October 22nd, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
Wow Wentz that was baaaaaaaad. Not just a mediocre or poor throw that, that was just atrocious decision making.
October 22nd, 2020 at 10:02 PM ^
LOL, Iggles WR misses football in the end zone, then they miss 29-yd FG before the half, still lead 10-7.
October 22nd, 2020 at 10:24 PM ^
LOL, Jones could've had a TD, but ran out of gas and fell.
October 22nd, 2020 at 10:27 PM ^
If it weren't for the DPI in the end zone, I think the Giants were headed for a FG. But they got the TD right after, 14-10.
October 22nd, 2020 at 10:37 PM ^
Somehow Daniel Jones, clumsy lumbering 6'5" QB, nearly matched Saquan Barkley's top speed. Oh and somehow managed to fall in the open field while having a walk in 80yd TD run. That was uh, that was something.
October 22nd, 2020 at 10:47 PM ^
Ref got money on the Giants? Looked like DPI, no call.
October 22nd, 2020 at 10:50 PM ^
NFL is a clown show. They actually go for it on 4th and goal like they should, then throw a fade. A FADE! The lowest percentage passing play there is! So they use analytics one second and then completely throw them out the window the next? ???
October 22nd, 2020 at 11:36 PM ^
Graham with the strip sack, Iggles recover. 22-21 them, 0:21 left. Victory formation, game over.

Lions will finish 6-10 or 7-9 as long as Stafford remains healthy. Bad enough to miss the playoff but good enough to miss out on a high draft pick and may be good enough to keep this coach going for one more season.
